Hi Folks, This is my last post before we leave for Europe. We're really excited to check out music scenes very different (but I suspect also surprisingly similar in many ways)from North America. We have some meetings set up with JPF members and we're hoping to meet some new folks as well along the way. We're landing in Paris at about 7:45AM in Paris Tuesday morning) they are 6 hours ahead of US Eastern Standard Time) and once through customs and to a rental vehicle (we're leasing a brand new Renault Trafic, which is a mini van we hope to be able to camp in as well some nights) we'll be driving up to Belgium to Hotel Karos: http://hotelkaros.be/ for our first night in Europe. The hotel is based on Bruges (it's spelled many different ways...) and we're looking forward to trying famous belgium french fries and beer! = ) I will try to update things along the way. I hope everyone will hold down the fort here on the boards as I doubt I will be around as much as previously. We do have a Skype number now, but I don't know what it is! (I'll try to post it once I get it from Linda). If there's an emergency on the boards or elsewhere, email me at jpfolkspro@aol.com and I will get to it ASAP. This is one of our longest non stop Roadtrips (7 weeks) and we'll be in and out of about 13 countries and 30+ cities along the way. I'll try to post a few pics if I can as well. There's always some risks involved with travel, so if anything happens, keep the creative fires burning and remember that in the end, We're All In This Together! Just Plain Folks! Brian

Bon Voyage, Amigo & Mz Linda!
DO try the Stella Artois in La Belgique..it's their "Equivalent" of Budweiser..only Far-Tastier! & ask for LOTS of Mayo for those Pommes Frites..that's what they put on 'em insteada Catsup..& bet ya ALWAYS eat 'em like that ever-afterwards, too!
HOPE ya get time to mount the Tour Eiffel in Paris...(Elevators were made for it by OTIS ELEVATORS, here in da States!) It was TOUGH making videos of the City of Light from there because of all the TV & Radio Antennas broadcasting-away Up There...so Good Luck!
THINK the Annual "Foire de la Ferraile" (Iron-Mongers' Fair) and "Foire des Jambons" (Ham Fair) is still bein' held every-October on Paris' "Isle de Chatou"..If ya like Antiques AND Great Ham Sandwiches & Pretzels, too...it's a Bargain AND a Blast!
Bruges USED to stink like a Commode on Steroids back in the '70's...THEN they got the Canals to Circulate-again & Cleaned 'em All Up so Tourists wouldn't be passin'-out..heh-heh! You'll love that Li'l Common-Market-Capital Country...glad you're payin' it a Visit...Most Yanks Don't!
Best Wishes for a Great Trip, All Over that Expensive Part of The Planet!!! Stan
