I'm really curious as to whether you guys accept anybody who requests to be your friend, or if you pick and choose according to genre, quality, etc.
Care to share?
LL. My belief is that anyone who attempts to reach out and make it in the music world is my friend. We all have very similar experiences, and have common things to discuss and share with each other. I don't believe in genres, and quality is an open term. I believe that anyone who wants to be a friend of another musician has a pure quality that cannot be described in words. I am reading John Barrows "Diary Of An Almost Has-Been", and it is simply astounding how much we all share in common. The big question is - would we go through it all again, even if we knew? I'm betting yes.

I just finished. Took 5 weeks. 3 folks wouldn't add because they won't add musicians as their friends. 2 folks wouldn't add because you needed to know their proper last name. 2 or 3 were no longer in service. Of the rest, 21 have not visited their site to ad folks in the past 5 weeks - OR, perhaps they only want quality friends. I noticed some talk about that, and I admit I am not quality conscious. That still leaves 180+ folks here that have added me as a result of this effort. Those 180+ people ARE quality =:-)

Patty - I see you managed to get your picture up on myspace. The music is a bit different. You have to have a musician's page to accomplish that. On your myspace page, click on the word music in the title bar, then click on Artist Signup. Then you'll be able to upload your music the same way you upload your pictures. -Rich

There ya go!! Took me 5 days, off and on, but I tried to add everyone in this thread. I didn't add obvious screw ups, no hyperlink and the occasional technical problem. I also tried to listen to them all. Some took forever to load so I didn't listen to them. Now I'm going to go back through them at my leasure. There is some really good stuff in here...

I lost my lead singer a little over a month ago. Since she had set up our MySpace page, we lost it too. We now have a new MySpace page for the Singing Muses, a female a cappella group that sings tight harmony at Renaissance Festivals (think Renaissance Andrews Sisters) in CA (we are looking to also start singing in AZ next year.)
