There's no way I can trade CDs with every member here.
But, I am willing to trade CDs with 100 people: one of my CDs for one of yours. Like many of you I had 1000 printed up. Sent out 100 review copies, gave away about that many to friends, and sold some 550. Now sales have dwindled to one or 2 a week. So, I'm still sitting on 200 of 'em.
I'll trade up to 100 with fellow JPF members. Send me a private note & we'll swap addresses & my wonderfully made CD that failed to hit the hot 100 billboard charts will be on it's way to you tomorrow morning.
Now, that's a trade!
Once the 100 mark is met I'll make a note here & stop the wildness. Don't have, nor could I afford to send out 44,000. Maybe after the next album I'll be able to afford that =:-)

Sent out three more today and received one from Joe Wrabek. Oh me, oh my. My wife is calling up friends and wants to have a party this weekend so everyone can join in the laughter. Great album, Joe.
The funniest part of the whole thing ... well, that's not true - the lyrics are the funniest part. And the business card was really great! Let's just say one of the funniest parts is the fiddle player. He/she sounds just like the fiddle players here in Texas. When I made my fiddlin' around album I auditioned over 20 players and finally got sick of it and decided to play the fiddle myself. LOL!!!
Of course, it's hard to find anyone around here younger than 80, and all of them played in Texas Swing bands when they were younger. So, at one point I'm betting they were great. Anyway, Joe, your fiddle player reminds me of that experience and I give you 1000 extra points for including the fiddler on your record! Takes guts.
Thanks, thanks & more thanks. Will let you know how many people at the party laugh as hard as we did tonight. Your images (bungie jumping jesus and many others) are still rolling through my brain a few hours later. Thanks! My personal favorite is the rapture song. Most of our friends here are church folks - hopethey laugh as hard as us.
Did I say thanks? Thanks! -Rich

Richard, thank you. That's one of the nicest endorsements I've ever received. Glad you liked the album. Yours came in the mail today, and I haven't had a chance to listen yet.
Anna the fiddle player, by the way, is in junior high (she may be in high school now), and is the daughter of Matt, who played banjo and dobro.

Rich, I'd be in on this, but we've already done this. I certainly enjoyed the trade.

Very cool Joe. I hope it doesn't sound like an insult to Anna to say that she plays as good as some of the 80 year old fiddle players out here in Texas =:-) -Rich

Steve - I'm sure there's one or two of my albums you haven't heard yet, plus I'm sure I owe you one since I just got your new one, which I can't stop listening to, especially "Dance Little Girl."
When you drop me a line, remind me which of my albums you have. I'll dig out something you haven't heard yet. That is, if you survived the other(s) you already heard =:-)

Two more out this week. Have 89 left. Received CDs from Iggy Taylor & Steve West - very cool. Different flavors, but both fun to hear and contemplate. Actually, Iggy sent me 2 CDs - so I'm now in debt. Thanks!

I don't have a CD yet. I can't join in. Sniffly-sniff, time to go cry in my soup, I guess. I'll remember this thread, should that day ever arrive. Ha-ha! and we'll see how many (if any) you have left then. Linda PS(just coming off the flu--and hoping I don't sound tooooo mental... uh.... should I go back to bed, maybe?) PPS I could exchange my first novel--but I am lousy at shipping packages, which is why I let my distributor do it. I'll hop back in here if I'm actually sending out a batch.

Ah heck, just wanting to join in should give you a few brownie points. Drop me your address & I'll be sure a copy gets to you. If you want to send a tape recording of yourself singiung to a cat, that would be great fun. Or fax me a beer. Or send along your great american novel. It's all in fun anyway =:-)

I'd settle for a FAXed beer, myself. I'd also trade for a copy of the Novel, but I realize it's probably worth more than the CD. (My CD, anyway.)
Can you e-mail the beer?

Only one out this week. Things are slowing down. 88 left. Looks like I am able to sell more now than I can even give away. Now, that's a twilight zone.
Thanks for the beer, Linda. I appreciate that you wiped the cat hairs off before faxing it!
