i am sure that the answer to this question lies somewhere in these posts, but i havent found it yet...so here goes.
i have some lyrics that i would like to post for feedback, but none of them have a copyright. i would like to get the feedback and tweek my lyrics if needed before i have them copyrighted. is there a way to do this and still protect my work?

Lots of info on that here. But to sum it up Everything I have read states that a lyric is copyrighted the moment you set it in a permanent form On paper, a recording, etc. Even if you write it on a matchbook cover. When you post a lyric here it is recorded in print on the post. That theoretically gives you copyright. It is a good idea to put the copyright information at the top of the lyric Such as ©2007 your name
you can get the little circle in microsoft word by holding down Ctrl plus Alt (bottom left on keyboard) and typing "C"
I don't know about other programs.
