Hey Musica: I really like your voice and this song is really nice. I dont know if it was just my speakers or my ears but the guitar that comes in on the chorus seemed to be very canny?? I like the guitar coming in there when it does but maybe you could use a little softer effects?? I don't know. Just a thought while listening. Other than that i think this is a great song. Take Care. Steve

Wow, very cool. Nit-pick: (at least through my headphones) the panning guitar seems to take over, maybe drop the level on it a tiny bit?
Now I'm an old fart who's fond of 70's rock music - Triumph, Styx, etc... so when I hear a cool tune like this I wish there was a huge drumkit...;>) I always wish there was a huge drumkit...

Musica, you are a songwriting fool. Seems like you have a new one every day. And all are good. I agree about that panned guitar, almost like it's too flangy.
Another good one.

Hi Rick, thanks for dropping by. I try to do a song a day although I don't really get to do that. You don't get to hear some of the junk I come up with.
I did another cut on the guitar. Came up with a bit slower part and gave it a bit more tone down low. Let me know if it's a bit closer to what you're thinking. The links at the top are updated.
Much better. Good work. Rick

musica: I listened to this again. Sounds better to me. I know I already told you but it's worth saying again. You are a great writer and I really like this song. Take it easy. Steve

Good one Musica, like the melody very much. Hard to understand some of the words, I just know they're good too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the song. Love the melody and piano. My teenage daughter came in the room and said "That's a good song, I like it".

I didn't hear the original song, but this version sounds solid to my ears. You seem to have the mixing/production stuff down pretty well.

Hey Michael: Fess up - you're really 80 years old and have been writing songs for 60 of them and are posting them one a day. No that doesn't work, they sound too contemporary. OK, you're really 80 guys Can't believe you can churn these out like this..... I'm not listening over my headphones but this sounded really good to me. Your lyrics are getting stronger and stronger in my opinion. No suggestions from me. Really nice! Scott

I don't know what it is, I thought it sounded like a trumpet. Comes in about :48 and gets seemingly louder at 1:00. Whatever it is, I think it is too loud in the mix.
I would like to see the lyric. Link didn't work to show a lyric, at least, I didn't see it.
This seems to be another fantastic song. Every song I have heard from you is primo. I honestly think that of all the unsigned writers I have ever heard, you are the best. If I were a label, I would sign you. Simple as that. I think every song I have heard is commercial.
As for mixing, I have no idea what your budget is but I, personally, think that you owe to yourself to get some expert advice. If at all possible, I would literally hire an engineer. Have him teach you. Invest $500 or whatever into learning. I think you are that good and if you are going to do these on your own, they will have to be top-level. Your songs are that good but you will be competing against people spending $1,000 to $20,000 on a demo. And it is amazing what a top-level recording can do for a song.
