No problem Jeff - just yankin' yer chain...  Just gotcha over at SoundClick - funny how they're trying to do the same thing as MySpace now after all these years. It's funny to see where our page says "Member since 6/20/2000 - this profile has been viewed 178 times". Yeah - like we've only been viewed 178 times in almost seven years?!?!?! hahahahahahahahahahaha...... In just over four years on the original Mp3.com, we had over 157,000 downloads of our songs. Perception is everything... Cheers!

Thanks, Jeff. Like Von, I have no evidence (and no indication) that my MySpace presence will accomplish anything. Sometimes, y'casts bread on the waters and it just rots and falls to the bottom--nothing snatches it up. Gotta keep trying as long as y'gots bread, I guess. And Brian, I think yours is a good idea--in the same vein. The more exposure we can get, the better. Thanks. Joe Good points Joe. As musicians who are trying to get our music 'out there,' we cannot afford to let opportunities such as MySpace slip away, be they the latest bandwagon that everyone is jumping on or whatever. I've had people show up to gigs of mine thanks to MySpace and actually gone to see others based on MySpace. I know that it will eventually pass but for now, it seems to be the place to get quite a bit of networking done cybernetically (hey - I think I just made up a word there!). To brush it off as another bandwagon & not acknowlege it's usefulness is something I cannot afford to do as a small-time musician trying to get exposure. Well.. I have had the same misgivings about My Space (and that's been well documented here). I don't see the value so much as My Space being a great tool as I do finding other ways to get more JPF members to interact. If we get a couple hundred new folks to come by here and say hi and post their link, we may get some of them to continue to network and hang around. So I am really more interested in getting more of them to come here and don't really care that much if they actually network on My Space more.
