Voices of Eden to Offer Healing Music Program for Babies and Adults at Meir Hospital Kfar Saba, Sharon, Israel, Today “ Voices of Eden” announced the donation of $10,000 to Meir Hospital NeoNatal Unit for a healing music program by a private American foundation in Washington, DC. " Recent research shows Israelis are suffering from extremely high levels of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome due to the prolonged state of national emergency and economic crises. Parents and caretakers are in danger of causing secondary trauma to babies and young children. Part of the problem is that the adults themselves are overly stressed by the events taking place. If caregivers aren't treated for their stress, they can't take proper care of the children for whom they are responsible, adding to the problem. Trauma experts prescribe relaxation habits and techniques as a remedy. Voices of Eden music is an effective way to relax and release tension. “ states Voices of Eden founder, Eliana Gilad. The donation for the music program was made as a public health initiative to prevent further Post Traumatic Stress Disorder among neonates, their parents, and the medical staff. Three successful live Voices of Eden test programs were conducted last year in the neonatal ward of Meir Hospital. According to Dr. Tzipora Dolphin, head of the ICU babies unit, “from the staff’s viewpoint, this program is a welcome influence on the babies, the parents and the staff”. “It opens the parents to an alternative at a time when they are most open, at the birth of their child. Since the hospital serves both Jews and Arabs, it brings them together through music… Gilad is very committed to creating peace and relief of suffering from the trauma of war.” claims Gail Herson, spokesperson of the Joe and Sonia Herson Family Foundation that made the contribution. The program’s effectiveness will be measured through data analysis. Healing lullaby discs will also be distributed with instructions for parents to use at home with their child before bedtime. The disc: NOAM, consists of voice, rhythm, harp and violin. The vocal element contains no words to limit understanding. The Voices of Eden Method combines conscious use of voice, rhythm and music as a natural healer; such was used in ancient times. Biblical evidence of the power of music has been quoted time and again in both Jewish and non-Jewish literature concerning King David whose harp soothed Saul in time of war. Voices of Eden is a modality that combines the Eastern and Western approach to music making it appropriate for a variety of communities in Israel around the globe. With stress release and increased relaxation being as close as a CD player or personal PC, the healing music provides people with a pleasant way to fall asleep, connect with children at bedtime, and respond to the current situation with confidence. Live music programs and workshops conducted for company team building, special events and private gatherings consist of voice, Eastern percussion, harp and violin to improve morale, concentration and productivity during these difficult times. A special personalized lullaby disc with the name of the listener recorded throughout the disc focuses soothes and builds self-esteem and confidence in the listener. Gilad, an internationally recognized expert in healing music and releasing the natural voice has been teaching, composing, recording, performing, and consulting internationally for 12 years and has a proven track record that has resulted in her clients relaxation and ability to use the healing music with others. Having a pleasant way for health care professionals, parents, business people, and children to release tension, relax and fall asleep easily improves our ability to cope with today’s reality. Voices of Eden discs, concerts and workshops make it easy for people to address these issues and prevent further trauma from stress. Hi, Eliana, It's good to see you here. We've crossed paths on the VocalChords email list -- and I'm still singing at the local Jewish Temple, and I haven't butchered the Hebrew yet! This small congregation in a very Roman Catholic community just celebrated its 100th birthday a week and a half ago. I still enjoy your CD, and will continue to do so. Keep up your wonderful work. Peace, Brenda www.BandBontheRock.com

"Do not endeavor to be the smartest kid in a dumb class. Instead, you are better off being the dumbest kid in the smartest class, where you will be challenged and you will learn. If you aren't growing, you are dying." -Brian Austin Whitney
