I'm not a musician or a technician, but it just seemed the underlying melody moved along so fine without a glich, and in my spastic mind that would be impossible to do.

As to why better, i don't have a good answer...but ya can't argue with success....

UH OH...I was waitin' for someone to call me on that . ..Hi Diane... Wayne...trying to place it. Upper.northeastern corner?..or mebbe down near Philly.... hmmmm...
well...what I was trying to explain to
a faithful co-writer who trys to humor...me...........was that...I wasn't..
trying to rhyme it with the Long O sound like in home...and shadOW....I knew i was going to get called on it.....so..made
a "prepared" statement..of guilt ahead of time....that..I was pronouncing cold with more of the L sound....so...I'd get away with it.... ....

hmmmm...I'm rambling..so I'll just stop with a thank you very much....for taking the time

Hi Calvin...thank you .... well..they're not always easy for me but this one was. Wyman and I are painstakingly going through A group of songs for what seems like the millionth time..and fine-tuning the work tapes...so the singer(s)...shouldn't have too many questions on matching words to music etc....and having to stress the words
in an unpleasing way to make them work...Well anyways, I was playing one of the songs about the animals getting lost..
and it is to the other extreme...(not a sweet song)...The wind will be howling..
and there's a totally different and kinda eerie tone and feel to it...Anyhoo.., I got to thinking on Friday Morning..as I was playing...that..Little Kids listening to (that) song...would wonder if the (animals)..made it home safely....so...in the middle of taping the other one.. this
answer song, Snuggled in With Love...came to me so I stopped on the other one ...and I started in with this Melody...and many of these words were right there with the melody...It's not always that easy...I have to normally work pretty hard with the words..and I've become pretty picky on how a certain word..sounds with a certain note. But I have a Lot to learn......

This is as COMFY a Kid's Song as I've ever read...& the LOVE shines thru it all so WELL!

"KUDOS" for a Song that reminds me Both how COLD it was livin' up North as a Kid..AND how comfy it WAS growin' up with Central Heatin'..a Fireplace..& LOVE!
Skunks don't have it As Easy..but that SNUGGLIN' Part they do so Well!

Cute little kid's song! The melody is clean and comforting. One thing I'm wondering though...

Do skunks have dens or what? You might think about addiing some additional detail to describe this refuge other than just "home."

I really liked the c/d I bought for my wife's grandchild a number of months back. Unfortunately the child's mother doesn't ever comment on the gifts we send, so I've had no feedback on the child's reaction. It WAS a quality production though, so it really doesn't matter what she thought. I liked it! LOL!!!

from parents/grandparents . We're finding out the youngest kids...are really liking it best..from ages..1 - 6....

On this song,...I'll have to give that some thought.... Actually They can live in different places...I think they have burroughs under ground...or they nest under porches and wood piles.

Back to the home,...see In this song...I'm trying to pull in the skunks...as an example.....but I really want..'home'..to be
very ...hmmm..can't find the word....
broad in meaning...so little kids will be able to relate both to the skunk..and their own homes/families.

UH, I can attest to the foregoing statement, <G>. Seriously,tho' Kaley has come a long way since she first came on the board and I told her her song was a poem. I guess Bobbie is the only one who goes back that far. I quit trying to write kids melodies (and most others too, cause it's hard labor for me)
Kaley gets most of the credit on the kids songs. I just help a little here and there.
