Well I saw your message and was kinda waiting to see if anyone else had a suggestion for a date or a venue, or whatever. Margaret and I are more than likely
available when anyone else agrees. I'm going to be away Sept 14 thru the 23rd, but after that I'm open. If nothing else, we can allways have a gettogether here and have a meeting and a little pickin party. We'll see if anyone else comes up with something.

Sorry about not getting back to you earlier

Any time after Randy gets back will be ok with me. Granada is ok with me as well or we can meet half way at Sardis on a Saturday.

I have a few questions on setting up a venue since this is all new to me. I want to make sure I ask or tell the restaurant owner the right things.

Is he expected to pay anyone who sings?
What would he have to provide, ie. microphone, platform(stage)etc?
Will singers be playing guitars only?
How many will be playing at the venue?

One idea would be to meet at my place at Sardis for a meeting and a little afternoon picking. We could either all go have lunch at the restaurant before or after the meeting
to see if everyone has a good feel for the place.We could possibly get him over to the table to discuss the venue.

In a way I'd hate to set up a venue where people are not comfortable performing.

I'm open to all suggestions of which way we should go.

Hey guys!

I like the idea of us maybe going from house to house until we get too big. then we can find a public place to meet.

How about a sunday afternoon meeting and picking party? And we can do it at either place...How bout we take a vote and decide where to have the next one. I am open to your ideas on how we want this to proceed. I have heard back from Cordell a couple of times since the meeting. She really had a great time and is looking forward to coming to the next one. She is a go-getter. She also knows some of the most powerful music people in Memphis. Not a bad person to have on our side for sure!

I have been contacted by several other musicians and interested parties that want to attend the next meeting. I think we can grow this chapter pretty quickly!!!

Will you two guys decide between you which of you will host each of the next two meetings and let me know? I am open to a date, but would prefer an early date in October, say the 6th since we won't be meeting in September?
