Hi Everyone--
Allow me to introduce myself...I am Jaden Parker Wolfe. I have been in contact with the amazing Brian Austin Whitney (3-namers ROCK!! lol) in regards to a Kansas City chapter of Just Plain Folks, and my understanding is that there is no co-ordinator or contact for the KC area. I will be moving there in April, and am considering becoming the co-ordinator, but my resources are pretty limited, as I am very new to this. Somebody please post here or e-mail me at jadenp@rock.com, so I can get to know some other KC musicians/writers/whatever.

hey jaden, i replied to your post in gen mess. also. but first let me say welcome to kc. i don't know if i'm a three namer (j.t. wojahn) but i do know quite a few people in the area.
so what kind of music do you write/play? i'm in a country band that gigs around k.c. we're pretty well known. and we open alot for the national acts that come to town. I've got a jingle on q104's morning show (that gets kind of old hearing every morning on the way to work) and other than that i'm just a normal singer/songwriter trying to make it to the big time.
so let me know if you get anything put together.

Hi JT-- It's been a bit hectic in my life lately...sorry I didn't get back to you right away. I saw your post on the other board...thanks for responding! I am actually returning to the KC area after having been gone for way too long! I was born and raised there. My music genre is a hard category to define, so I usually just cite my influences, and most people get the picture. My two biggest influences are (another local girl) Melissa Etheridge, and Bruce Springsteen, and I also count Heart, John Mellencamp, and Sheryl Crow, as well as the Indigo Girls, amongst those who have helped me build my form. That's really cool to hear about your jingle on Q104...I bet it DOES get repetitive in the mornings, huh? Is Randy Miller still doing the morning show there, or has he managed to get himself fired again? I think you would be a great asset to a KC Chapter of JPF...I should be there in late April or early May...late May at the latest, if I don't explode from the stress before then! Once I'm there, I want to hit the ground running, so if you wouldn't mind helping me get the word out, that would be awesome.
