I sent a Canada Post money order in US funds to the U.S. copyright office to register a single song copyright They returned the money order and said I must have an International Money Order drawn on or cashable at a U.S. bank. How do the Canadian users on this board pay their fees when they apply for U.S. copyright? Where do you get an International Money Order? Any help will be appreciated.

Hey - that happened to me the first time too. Just head down to your bank and tell them you need a money order in US funds, and give them the payee name. They'll do it up for you in a couple minutes. cheers Hummin'bird PS - I think that it would be very helpful if they would put that info on their site or form somewhere PSS - the Songwriter's Association of Canada has a song depository service you can use if you are a member. Thanks for the reply Hummingbird . I did take your advice and I went to the bank and sent the bank draft in for the payment to the U.S. copyright office. I will look up the Songwriter's Association of Canada this afternoon. Does anyone use the Canadian Copyright office? Their service seems very pricey and does not seem to have a real depository. Have you ever used them to register copyright?
