Hello:
It has always been one of Brian Whitney's ideas that the "Just Plain Folks" membership get involved with the School / Community. We already have a committee developed to address this great idea.
What we need now are people that are interested in participating.
We are asking anyone that is interested in furthering music education, talking to a classroom of eager students, performing a short concert for our senior citizens, etc. then please send me an email with what you are willing to do.
Every member within the JPF membership has something to offer. Think hard and you will find something you can give. Think of that child who really would love to play a guitar, or learn how to read music, or wants to sing, or writes songs and wants to play them, or the senior citizen that loves music but never gets a chance to hear any, or the senior citizen that used to play the piano but can't now because of arthritis but still hungers to hear the piano, etc, etc.
Lots and lots of ways to give back. These are just a few. There are others out there I know.
If you are doing something like this already and you can contribute to the group please let me know and we can learn from you.
We all have something to offer. Let's start giving back to the community.
