* This is a slow, sullen song, meant to be sung by a deep, almost drunken voice, just a man and a guitar...
The Wanderer Written by: Cole Donovan Copyright 2006
Leave the wondering, to the wonderers, Keep singing your drunken song.. from roof tops, I’ll keep on wandering, ‘cause I’m a wanderer, And sing along with the muffled sing songs.
Blaring, crackled and dusty, Like the speakers they come from. Harsh and horse, Pale as a ghost. Drinking cheap vodka, And singing to Willie, Whiskey River, I can’t afford. As I wander away from the Lord.
I leave the wondering to the wonderers, I keep singing my drunken song from roof tops, I’ll keep wandering, ‘cause I’m a wanderer, And sing along with the muffled sing songs.
Living day to day, There’s no light in my life. I somehow find my way, Unknowing of what the future will hold Praying for hope, As I tie my rope, My eyes slowly close. And the road grows increasingly cold.
I leave the wondering to the wonderers, I keep singing my drunken song from roof tops, I’ll keep wandering, ‘cause I’m a wanderer, And sing along with the muffled sing songs.
My nights get longer and longer, As my days grow short. I give up hope. ‘Cause I’ll never be saved. Drinking cheap vodka, And singing to Willie, Though Jesus is my Lord. I’m living a life I can’t afford.
I leave the wondering to the wonderers, I keep singing my drunken song from roof tops, I’ll keep wandering, ‘cause I’m a wanderer, And sing along with the muffled sing songs
Countless unanswered prayers, Now I know that no one cares. Harsh and horse, Pale as a ghost. I’ve lost my sight, And most of my senses. Whiskey River, I can’t afford. As I wander away from the Lord.
Singing along with Willie…I wander away from the Lord.
If I am not myself today, then who am I, and who is me?

hi again
'horse' is 'hoarse' if it is about a throat.
Unknowing of what the future will hold
How about "Not knowing what the future will hold"?
Are you going to record this?
The singer sounds in trouble, and most of those go better in the third person.
He’ll keep on wandering, ‘cause he's a wanderer --and make it about someone you really know?
good Luck annie
