Frozen in a Dream: http://schicksville.com/Frozen%20in%20a%20Dream.mp3I composed this one in the same year. I must have been troubled during 2018. "So Blue" : http://schicksville.com/So%20Blue%20-Vocal.mp3Frozen in a Dream Words & Music: John Lawrence Schick Sung by Erik TylerI am lost – So alone No way out – Dark Passages Can’t wake up – I’m frozen Frozen in a dream – So strange Is this how life ends? Buried deep inside a dream I don’t want… to be alone So alone… Nothing here… to feel What can I do? How can I leave? Will this ever end? I remember “when”… Trapped inside… this dream Is this all there is? Let me breathe One last breath… Frozen in a dream No way out – All alone Will I ever be again. Day into night Night into day I’m with you You’re not with me… although It seems real Or is it – some senseless dream Where am I Am I so lost? Or have I found you deep inside a dream Is it real? It’s so strange I’m alone But still with you Why are the days and nights…so blue? Where is this place? I don’t know With you? Alone So Blue Music & Lyrics: John L. Schick Vocal: Erik TylerDay into night Night into day I’m with you You’re not with me… although It seems real Or is it – some senseless dream Where am I Am I so lost? Or have I found you deep inside a dream Is it real? It’s so strange I’m alone But still with you Why are the days and nights…so blue? Where is this place? I don’t know With you? Alone

Great to hear you music delivering a lyric JLS. Piano is really nice as always.
Song is somehow not connecting to me...it is melancholic for sure so fits the music, but the story does not resonate.
Please more with lyrics....I know you have a lyric writer you like to collab with
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

Thanks John! It has always been my view of the afterlife/ spiritual life having similarities. My Pastor once told me that we have no idea of what experiencing a spiritual life, like God, is. It's a life without form, could it be like a dream that we've all experienced? A little scary, i.e., an eternity in the spiritual world. The lyrics depicts it as a frightening trap.
Best, John

You and everybody else are going to rot in coffin . The universe does not care you are a human or a road kill raccoon . Nobody is going any where . Thats really pretty John . nice to hear a human song . Born again George Carlin . He is your ticket to everything .

Yes, there are many beliefs about the afterlife. If we can be given existence once, what will stop it from happening again. Creation of life is way beyond our comprehension. We're trying to understand it all, while using our ameba brains. I'm thankful for the Creator of life. And hope the Creator gives me another chance to do better. I realize all my shortcomings... Best, John

Safe to assume, it's not as good dream? Lol, I have a song about a recurring dream I've been having for decades, but its a good one lol.. I'll post Forgotten about it.
I like it John, I think the singer may be singing too pretty, he should try for some dissonance like rest of music.
But it's good either way. Sounds like a slightly off killer jazz standard.
Yes more complete sings would be fun

Yes more complete sings would be fun Thanks, Fde! I go through several dreams a night - since I trek to the bathroom three times - ha, ha. I have a recurring dream where I'm working an old job I had. I wake up in the morning tired. I tell my wife, I worked all night, and I don't even get paid for it.

The difference between burial and cremation is where your molecules go.
In a casket yiur body's energy fills the soil in the ground with yiur energy.
Cremation you project upward. Into the sky. Eventually into the universe. Traveling indefinitely.
Might be better.
Only difference maybe is if they ever figure out to bring the dead back, the body won't be around.
In a nutshell, nobody really knows

The Egyptians came up with the whole after life thing . So we grasped on the idea on mummy's and all that . It's good for the funeral business . 2k boxes or 9k boxes , depends on that salesman, putting the family in debt . Like Dom said nobody alive knows, and the dead aren't talking .
it's a comfort to people RIP, and not sorry he's dead .SHD, or SSD . Of course a up charge to be pumped full of chemicals, like the Egyptians kings . We tossed away being buried with slaves of obviously . Maybe the vain people wanna be dug up in 5000 years . She or he looks pretty good .
Africa is where evolution started, so it makes sense the Egyptians had a head start on beliefs . Back on dogs , they can be coming or going, they're happy . I think the cat was the big deal to Egyptians .

I must have been going through some strange times in 2018. Here's a similar track to "Frozen" I did back then. "So Blue" : http://schicksville.com/So%20Blue%20-Vocal.mp3
