Done...

Well, I,'m king of the bar room
I pack a mean punch
Once knocked a man unconscious
Cause I had a wrong hunch

Never gave in an inch to fear
Not one time in my life
But
I'm afraid of my wife
I'm afraid of my wife

Woman's got a vendetta
she wants to make me pay
Found me a little mistress
Just got caught the other day
Now, she's gonna take all my money
And some would call it right

Well, I've battled with the Bikers
Boots with metal spikes
But i'm afraid of my wife
I'm afraid of my wife

(Bridge) I (I) I (I) I I'm afraid of my wife
I (I) I (I) I I'm afraid of my wife

Now, if hell knowith no fury
quite like a woman scorn
she's gonna set me up
for somethin funky after dawn
Rest assured, i'll be watchin my P's
and Q's tonight

Just like Lorena Bobbit gone Ginzu
with her knife)i'm afraid of my wife
I'm afraid of my wife

(Bridge repeats)I (I) I I'm afraid of my wife
I (I) I (I) I I'm afraid of my wife
I (I) I (I) I I'm afraid of my wife

My earlier comment stands Dom....if you want to go this route, no affairs and such...you'll wrestle a gorilla, figh in a UFC (?) rig etc...face down a charging lion...

But you having an affair means you deserve every ounce of licking, shunning etc ..

Dunno...maybe I just don't get it

You probably dont get this angle, because yiu are happily married, and think its wrong to write such a thing.

Most of the time I write in character, based on my self.

Ive already played this same song in bars, and the Lorena bobbit line brought the house down every time, and the song was received well.

Its not the Brady bunch, envision the allman brothers doing this

Its still fun enough not to be overbearing

It works in the blues format, its not a pop song.

If youd like to use my hook, and write how it should be done, ill listen to it.

I cant help but think it will be cornball though

I'd of thought you might understand the genre more, and the angle, apparently not

A little musical education lesson.

Yes, cheating is one of the most foundational themes in blues music. Blues songs frequently explore infidelity from every angle, including husbands cheating on their wives, wives cheating on their husbands, and the perspective of the "other woman" or "back door man".

Common Cheating Themes in the BluesThe "Two-Timing" Spouse: Many songs focus on the pain of betrayal, where a singer recounts discovering their husband or wife has been unfaithful. The Other Man/Woman: Artists like Howlin’ Wolf famously sang about the "back door man," a figure who sneaks into a house to see a married woman while her husband is away.

Similarly, soul-blues singers like Denise LaSalle made waves with hits like "Your Husband Is Cheating On Us," which tackles the perspective of women finding out they are sharing the same man.Revenge and Confrontation:

Unlike modern pop or country songs where cheating is often met with guilt, blues songs frequently boast about affairs or threaten violent revenge on the cheater.

Mistress? give me a break ,says Ben lolll.

Blues music has a rich tradition of storytelling that deals with infidelity. Mistress or "other woman" songs often fall into two distinct categories: the scorned wife addressing the mistress, and the mistress proudly declaring her relationship. The following songs capture these complex dynamics:The Mistress's PerspectiveThese songs tell the story from the point of view of the "other woman," exploring the emotional gray areas of being with someone else’s partner."I'll Be the Other Woman" by The Soul Children: A classic, soulful blues/R&B track that perfectly explains accepting the "number two" spot, provided there are boundaries and strict exclusivity."The Other Woman" by Nina Simone: Though jazz-influenced, this iconic bluesy standard tells the tale of a mistress who is always perfectly manicured, has fresh-cut flowers, and enchants her partner in ways his wife cannot."Mistress Blues" by Eddie Taylor Jr.: A classic guitar-driven blues song that speaks directly to the dynamic of keeping a mistress. The Wife Addressing the MistressThese tracks feature the cheated-on spouse confronting the mistress directly, demanding that she back off."Woman to Woman" by Shirley Brown: Perhaps the most famous spoken-word/blues confrontation track. The wife calls her husband's mistress over the phone to state her case and urge her to leave her marriage alone."The Other Woman" by Loretta Lynn: Country-blues legend Loretta Lynn perfectly encapsulates the heartache and anger of an unfaithful husband and the woman interfering with her home.

No Dom...I loved the hook, it drew me in, I think you wasted it though...but I accept you have a version you like...that's where it ends with me

And any version I might do\try would simply be different, not better or worse

I gave you a litany of reasons why it works, you still disagree.

I should be given credit for a good hook, a tight flowing lyric, with not akot of space to do it in.

Melding perfectly into a bkues structure, which you couldn't do if you didn't understand blues

Adhering to blues tradition while still putting slightly different stamp on it.

I dont think your version could achieve this.

And be entertaining at the same time.

Do it, and use same amount of words

This is a robot song , Not a human song . Why do you have it in the human section ? Blues work , I was thinking more on a real story in 2026 of women, and her habits and this guy scared of his wife.

Cause if you put it in the other section, political songs will keep bumping it,, for no other reason than its politics . And people still keep using sing threads as free fir alla. Out the non sense somewhere else

And nobody cares anyway, if they did they'd say somethin.

Hundreds of viewers your the only one to say anything.

Im happy with the song. Its no more or no less than what I was hearing.

It becomes something else if I change it.

Aa far as I know, nobody has ever written this title in a 12 bar blues song.

Its what I wanted to do.

Telling somebody to change their intention, is not a critique.

Probably wouldn't put this on an album, but I shoukd be allowed to write this if I want to.

Its one of hundreds of songs if mine

Dom,
if you want me to say something, i will. This section is for songs where people spend hours in a studio to write, record and mix their tracks. It's unfair if you put your AI generated songs here. By doing that you push their songs down. That's the reason the AI section was created. You are the only one who is posting AI songs in this section.

No, kae Lynn did it first, and nothing was said to her
https://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1216226/i-am-america.html#Post1216226

I realized later why she did. Because YOU have your threads bumped up all day long, not cause they are good songs, but because people are using them as
Rant sections

Its not fair to you, not fair to them, and causes more problems here than we already had with rants.

You posted a song about your wife that wasn't responded to.

So what do you do? You post a political song, sure enough you got the attention you were looking for.

Going back and forth about the ideology of the content, is not about the song.

You end up burying everybody else.

Besides that, people using suno are still working hard, writing the song is everything.

But nobody said a word to kae Lynn, why?

She was 100% right too, knowing you'd bump her out of sight.

Keep the song threads about the sing, take your other garbage to designated rant area.

Dom,
don't blame me. You said it yourself: "People are using my threads as rant sections." Look in the mirror. You're one of those people. Many of the rants posted in my threads have little or nothing to do with the song being discussed.

You also make it sound as if most of my songs are political. They aren't. I post plenty of songs that receive little or no response. That's simply what happens on a forum that doesn't get as much activity as it once did.

As for thread visibility, it's not me keeping those threads active. The threads stay active because people keep posting arguments in them. If people want song threads to be about songs, then the solution is simple: discuss the song, not politics or personal grievances.

Regarding AI, I agree that writing the song is still an important part of the process. But creating a song entirely without AI involves a very different set of skills and a lot of additional work. They're simply different approaches to making music. That is why we have different sections and that should be respected here.

Ahh yes,
Your posts are just so compelling, people come to them to hear great songs....

Why cant you post that in the politics only thread? Thats where it belongs, not out here taking away from real artists trying to be heard.

Tell ya what, ill post in right place, but if i see yiur non sense again, ill simply move to the other section ball is in your court.

Let's see if you REALLY care

Dom,
I post my songs in the song sections (MP3 and AI, depending on the song). I sometimes write lyrics. I post them in the lyrics section. I do that because I want songwriting feedback.
Are you saying I should post my songs in the General Messages section? In the Politics Only thread? Do you think that's where I'll get songwriting feedback?

I'm posting my songs in the correct sections. You are the one who is doing things differently. Ben complained and I agree.

Dom,
I just want to point out that the song you mentioned apparently didn't get much attention here but over 400 people clicked on the thread and the song is currently the most heard Pop song on Soundclick for the second straight day. Apparently, even though nobody is commenting the song here, a lot of people are listening to it.

OK, I understand. I'll stop bumping your songs up. This is your thread, remember?
