I was thinking...
I dont find myself in endless arguments with John(Travis David) or Dave or Bill Draper or Mike Z, who I think left because of Dom, or Wesley who I know left because of Dom. I had a pleasant exchange with Kay-Lynn about her song just the other day.

I find myself in endless arguments with;

the two meddlesome foreigners who insist on coming on this site and bashing an American President, Rob and JohnV

the two resident village idiots, Tony and Domb, who have sent insults at almost everyone, including you.

I quit this site when Tony wrote..."I AM A RACIST," and it was not addressed by the moderators.

I left and stayed gone for months with no intention of returning.
Brian Pm'd me and ask me to return. I told him my issues and was under the clear impression that he would do something to end the idiocy that goes on here. I gave him $300 for a donation.

He did not end the idiocy.

So...Here is my pledge to you and John and Domb and Tony...

If you all can get Brian Whitney to open a thread in GENERAL and state in clear terms that he would prefer that I not post on his site anymore, then I will leave again and nothing will bring me back... as long as I see no derogatory references to me by any of you 4 or Brian...after I quit the place.

There will be no need to go to the trouble of banning me. Just a simple and clear statement from Brian saying that he feels that his site would be better off if my influence was gone.

That's good to hear. I've always made a point of being complimentary of your songs. If you stop with the political bashes, there is nothing to argue about.

If I recall correctly, John said that he was through making political posts here, so there will be nothing to dispute.

I have never been on a website of any kind based in a foreign country bashing whoever their president is. There are those of us that consider that rude Behavior right off the top coming from a foreigner.

If you're going to come on this song site and hammer on an American president, then many people are going to think it is very relevant to disclose where you are from, where you have citizenship, and where your sympathies originate.

I can't say exactly. Around 70 million voted for Trump as I recall. Of that 70 million I think that there's probably more than a handful, that would take offense to a guy who claims to be from Germany, until he is called on it, bashing on an American president.

As far as this site goes, when Ben dumped on the lady, I thought that was excessive, I was one of two people who explicitly said so to Ben.

The takeaway from that.. there's probably more than a few people here that resent your bashing of the president that they voted for. They just don't speak out.

I'm on a songwriting website that is basically un-moderated.
Unlike other missioned websites, people can talk about religion or politics at will, and anything else such as transexuals...what have you.
People are allowed to be insulting largely at will.

Predictably, arguments abound non-stop.

I've got a guy that uses the site as a platform to proclaim his disdain for a political figure.

I once told the guy that Donald Trump was going to eat his foot for dinner, which was an absurd joke.
The guy went into a diatribe about how offensive that was. I was stunned and concluded that the dude was probably truly neurotic. And that TDS was just one branch of that much larger tree.

Given that overall CONTEXT and atmosphere allowed at the site, when the same guy told me that I had "crossed the line," I couldn't help but be CURIOUS, what line and whose line, in his particular mind...had I crossed?

In that context, the notion of "crossing a line" seemed absurd.

Kinda like someone in a drunk tank telling someone else in a drunk tank, that they were nothing but a damned drunk.

So, I asked for some detail.
