Time has shifted against these songwriting websites.
People are going elsewhere, such as misc places on FB. The population that used them is aging out and dying off. The illusion that these sites are a gateway to music row has long since faded.
This particular site has another layer of dysfunction causing people such as yourself to leave. When I sign up for FB pages, the rules required to acknowledge are almost always,
no name calling, no pointless arguing, no personal attacks, no religion, no politics.
All guaranteed to sew discord.
All of that is allowed here and enabled under some warped view that freedom of speech includes idiotic speech.
As a result, all sorts of people, such as you, who were truly interested in a songwriting focus have said "to hell with it."
So the residue that remains, appears to me, to be the main attraction here now...and the big view tallies go to;
religious zealotry, hating Donald Trump and pointless badgering arguments about songwriting....by the clueless.
And be aware...no one will stop it from coming at you, but if you hand it back, you will likely be accused of being the problem...by people who actually are the problem.
As for me...the place is just a bad habit, that I havent completely stopped. Actually, I did quit the place and was sought out and asked to return. I did and the dysfunction started all over again.
Having said that, there are some sincere people here who love to write songs and have something worth hearing.

I did not "rise up" to Trump's defense. If he made the remarks, they are pointless and reprehensible. But, what's new about Trump and his mean-girl teenage level slams. As phuqued up as that is...For me, the border and deported criminals are much higher priorities. "Good with the Bad" is what I wrote.
But that is not my main point.
For the 1000th time, this is supposed to be a songwriting site. There are thousands of sites to go register your bottomless contempt for all things Trump. Your FB page for one. Political discussions here are just going to distract and derail energy that might have gone into songs. And inevitably lead to arguments and ill-will.
I do not support everything that Trump does. I do not use JPF.com or my FB as a platform to singularly herald Trump's achievements that I do like. I, for instance, use my "freedom of speech," responding to meddlesome Canadians who call-out my name and want to turn a songwriting site into their personal political platform for bashing a duly elected American President...all of which has clearly proven to be the detriment of the site, time and time again.
No one is going to change their vote or mind because of some rant on this website. The only product of such will be ill-will and discord and distraction.
From what I read, you have some foreboding issues to deal with on your side of the border. Find a productive place to work on those things
