https://suno.com/song/f62234b7-4348-4fcc-b998-6b31ec154072Words by sleep less Elvis and no sleep shade (V1) I’ve seen love on a Monday and hate by Tuesday night, Watched a prayer turn into static in the flicker of a light. I kept a suitcase full of reasons and a notebook full of dreams, Between the coffee and the whiskey and the worn-out in-betweens. (V2) There’s a preacher by the river, says the end is coming soon, But his watch stopped somewhere in the shadow of the moon. I told him truth’s a moving target, he said faith ain’t what it seems, Now he’s baptized in confusion and the flood of in-betweens. (Chorus) Sunsets and sunrises and too many in-betweens, That’s where the world gets blurry and the soul comes clean. You can chase what you remember or believe what you’ve seen, In the haze of sunsets and sunrises and too many in-betweens. (V3) I’ve written songs for strangers and letters I’ll never send, Traded promises for postcards and lovers for a friend. Every mile a contradiction, every dream a broken seam, Stitched together by the daylight and the endless in-betweens. (Bridge) Maybe time’s a crooked arrow, maybe hope’s a fair-weather thief, Maybe God’s just a poet who forgot how to believe. And we’re all just little echoes in somebody else’s scheme, Wakin’ up between the pages of a half-remembered dream. (Final Chorus) Sunsets and sunrises and too many in-betweens, That’s where the story trembles and the meaning leans. You can live by your heart or the ghosts of your teens, But you’ll drown in sunsets and sunrises and too many in-betweens. (Outro) So I’ll pour one for the morning and one for what it means — To chase the truth through sunsets and all those in-betweens.
We’re all built from the same dust and dreams, Different roads, but the same means.

Very thoughtful Ben. I really enjoy seeing what you do these days. That is not false praise. I truly do.

Some great lines. There’s a preacher by the river, says the end is coming soon, But his watch stopped somewhere in the shadow of the moon. I told him truth’s a moving target, he said faith ain’t what it seems, Now he’s baptized in confusion and the flood of in-betweens.
The part about songs and letters never sent, funny I've always referred to sings nobody hears as letters never sent.
