Is grooves.

It can give an overall groove based on your lyric and the arrangement it gives, but the actual groove, which is a big part of most genres, is kinda generic.

I say that as somebody who is constantly beat boxing and creating grooves in my head, and I dung them into my phone.

In this case I think drum software like ezdrummerr are better at finding a core groove

Dom,
you don't share any of your prompts with us but I'll give you a hint anyway. Try "syncopated drums" together with "funky bass". The results are awesome.

Lol, I will share from now on. But your prompt implies that a funky like is wanted.

A groove or feel can be slow, fast, can be a piano groove, can be a guitar groove, but it's a total sum if parts.

But I will experiment, I still haven't switched to suno, and haven't even seen what I can do with using my own ideas

FD,Lol...

AI CAN NOT read your mind. AI IS JUST A GENERIC BEAT BOX.

Choose a genre first, then tweak the prompts.
I don't even use AI, but I know THAT much lol...

Think of it like an old 90's BOSS drum machine with built in bass lines.

The creepy thing about ai, is it DOES understand language.

If the lyrics are descriptive and about something and evoke images, ai will pick up in those images and pump out music according to that.

If you write a song about dancing on the wings if an airplane, chances are it will get an airplane sound in there somehow.

Usually a narrowing passage that has a swooshing sound.

Trying to articulate it in terms of music sound, I guess falling.

lets hear a real example. Billy Joel is an AMAZING composer and I dint think ai could have done this that well but

Listen to the rhythm specifically, it sounds like somebody running in ice...unstable off kllter, off balance, tippy toing

If your lyrics are specific like this ai should follow suit, maybe not with that kind of greatness

I believe that YOU are highly susceptible to SUGGESTION.

The reason AI seems to frustrate you is because, it is NOT susceptible to YOUR suggestions... lol

I'm sure John Shick would agree, composers write music that sounds like what they are writing about.
Anyway, if somebody can compose that way, ai can do it too.

No, Dom...
All AI can do is plagiarize Billy Joel, Heart, Bruce Whatshisname, You, Me, John...

Ok, I'll give you that, it would be based on what others have done already .No argument.

But ai is doing all that anyway

If I write a song about a motorcycle...and I give the lyric to ai, chances are something in the music is going to signify motion, Riding, highways... The rhythm of the bike for starters.

But ai would be referring to what others have done to pump it out

That would depend upon how YOU describe motorcycles in your lyric...
If you say they are "majestic and satisfy your spiritual need for freedom" then you may get something that sounds like Yanni.

If you simply ask AI to write a song about motorcycles, period. You'll probably get something like "Born To Be Wild".

But, this still doesn't explain why you believe EZDrumz is better at creating "groovs"...

And born to be wild is huge with bikers for a readon

tez drummer was different point .

Basicly I'm saying I can come up with better grooves than what ai does

Ai destroys me production wise.

Melody id say 50 50.

Chord progression ai can get all over the place.

But it's a good sketch

AI is just another tool like a $49.00 plug in. Pros have discovered instead of fighting against it . They 've decided to join forces . It's basically compromise . What's important is the ends results , not how you got there .

AI is a good shrink . So I disagree on self evaluation.

AI can give you millions of data on a problem you have . And you can have a conversation with it. it's like the friend you never had . it never sleeps , it's also like a football coach on encouragement. its doesn't feel emotion, but it has empathy for humans. I'm sure it will change the mental health care industry .
