the discussion got sidetracked. I’m not sure what’s behind it, but it clearly has nothing to do with your post. Take care, Robert
Rob,
Drop the coy (poseur) act. You know why it side-tracked. Because YOU took it down a side track. You and JACKOV derisively brought me up with no prompting of any kind from me... and here I am.
Now, you want to run back under your mommy's skirt and blame it on the other kid. The fault lies with you. Have the intellectual honesty to own that...if it's in you.
When the new board comes in (I had to be away on an emergency for a bit and could not meet the scheduled update time with the company, so the process has to start over) anyone trolling will find they no longer see the target of their trolling any further.
Anyone can stop seeing trolls by clicking their profile, then clicking "ignore" and you should never see them again. Think of it like your personal "block" button. Marty was supposed to have blocked Tony and Dom a long time ago, but it is clear he loves the drama, and now causes more of it than anyone else here from the recent complaints I am getting. I don't read trolls posts unless I am forced to. I suggest anyone else use the "ignore" button.
Meanwhile once we update, when anyone attacks someone unprovoked, I will solve the issue by manually "ignoring" inside the aggressors account so problem solved. Apparently allowing free will for you all to do it yourself is too much to ask.
Thanks, Brian

Let's get our facts straight Brian,
I was out of town for four days. During that time I did not post at all. When I returned, I found that robette and jackov were taking completely unprovoked shots at me in this thread, in my absence. You do nothing about that type of thing and never have and after years of pointless chaos, your site is the worse for it. I used to complain about it but now I have stopped. I've resigned to it, here and here only, and when I see it, I'm going to have fun with it.
Both Jackov and Dom were recently blocked from another songwriting site. Because those mods have enough common sense to protect their own property. You let it go on here.

For the record, my comment about not having seen Marty around was just an observation — nothing more. I’m here to focus on Tony’s song and the discussion around it, not personal disputes. Let’s keep this thread about songwriting.

Rob,
The insidious little school-girl poseur who starts the insults and then claims to have had nothing to do with it...is a NO SALE. Your trail is long. I flack your Trump bashes which are typically Rachel Maddow regurgitations from the night before... and it gets all over you. You bite-back in insidious ways. Long trail there.
Solution: Take politics somewhere besides a songwriting site.
You don't and then you claim any innocence of wrongdoing when a fire starts. Pathetically transparent school girl stuff.
My attitude...I see it. I'm gonna flack it. You have "1stA" rights here and so do I.
"Orange man good, orange man great He saved the land from its sad blue fate He made America strong and grand More than any dictator can"
You took my song and tried to flip the POV, only two hours ago...all the while claiming that you do nothing whatsoever intentionally and insidously provocative. The tragic thing for you is that you may actually believe that, which puts you 10 orbits out from reality.
Regarding the song, like the dems counter-memes for Trump's sombrero memes... it falls flat. It falls flat because common sensical facts and realities dont support your point of view. That fact is the fact why Trump was re-elected.
But have fun with these things. When I see them, I will.
Solution: Take politics somewhere besides a songwriting site.
Marty, that’s a fair suggestion, but you’re posting songs with political content too. I think we both know that political and social themes have been part of songwriting for centuries. Therefore, political songs shouldn't be banned here. The difference is whether we talk about the craft or attack the other person. I’d rather focus on the craft. Nobody is forcing you to read and listen to all the stuff that is posted here. If you don't like political songs, don't listen to them.

Give it up Rob. You've written some political songs that I ignored.
However, A couple of hours ago, YOU took MY SONG and title and re-wrote it to be provocative. And now you want to present that as if you were simply engaged in the time honored tradition of political song satire. You are pathetically transparent. As I stated in another post, if you are going to call out names and pick at scabs and start arguments...at least be good at presenting an argument. This stuff you're trying to sell is at a sixteen-year old level.
I've been a small independent architect, GC, homebuilder most of my life. In the course of dealing with subs over years, I've had every worn-out line of insidious crap come at me that I can think of. The stuff you bring is adolescent-ish.
And as long as you brought up time honored traditions, A time honored tradition that any fool, in any culture, in any part of the world....knows...is that if you bring up politics or religion you are headed for an argument. The obviousness of that is lost here...I've resigned to it and plan to relax and have fun.
Therefore and heretofore... When you regurgitate your Rachel Maddow talking points here, expect incoming and be advised that I will not tailor my comments to whatever your sensibilities of decorum are at whatever given moment. I say that because you dont always apply your rules of decorum to yourself...which is no surprise.

Marty, I think enough has been said. You’ve made it clear that you’ll respond however you choose, and that’s your decision. But understand — I also have the option to use the forum’s “ignore” feature. If things turn negative again, I won’t hesitate to use it. I’d prefer not to block anyone; I’d rather keep the focus on songwriting and creative exchange. But if respecting boundaries isn’t possible, I’ll simply move on and enjoy the forum without the distractions.

Rob, We're circling back and back here. Whatever you do is whatever you do. Not a real concern of mine, unless you call my name out of the blue again.
I possess the same "1stA" rights here as you. However I exercise them is however I exercise them.
Marty, that’s fair — we both have the right to say what we want, and I can choose what I want to see. I’m not here to argue with anyone. I’m here for songwriting discussions and creative exchange. If our conversations stop being about that, I’ll simply use the forum’s “ignore” feature and move on. Nothing personal — I’d just rather spend my time writing songs and helping fellow songwriters than dealing with hostility.

Ben, I gave Tony a bunch of feedback, suggestions and demos here. Brian's "ignore button" works perfectly. That was a good piece of advice.
I don't take nothing to serious at my age , I write songs 16 hours a day and take cat naps , give people feed back , Its really easy . I've kind heard dancing under a moon a million times back in the Bro country era But what's one more to add , Sounds good Rob and Tony
We’re all built from the same dust and dreams, Different roads, but the same means.

Thanks for the feedback Ben. I gave you some feedback on a couple of your lyrics in the lyrics thread.
Well there we go , it is a songwriting site , Not a boring Political site and religion , That goes nowhere but catfights. the 1% run the world and God ain't talking much but thru the Bible lol

Yes, Elvis... You've plastered the whole damn site with that opinion... My Dad toured with his Country band. I've been listening to "Bro Country" all my miserable fuk'n life.
Give us 3 examples, and I'll stop recording this song.
I'm not spending time dancing in the moonlight songs on Google , Its no big deal , finish your song as a Suno cover with your melody.
There are many songs titled "Dancing in the Moonlight," with the most famous being the 1972 hit by King Harvest and the 2000 cover by Toploader. Other versions exist, including one by Thin Lizzy, Scooter, and others, making it impossible to give a single definitive number, but the most popular and recognizable are the King Harvest and Toploader versions. Major versions of "Dancing in the Moonlight" King Harvest: The original hit version, released in 1972. Toploader: A worldwide hit cover version released in 2000. Jubël: A 2018 EDM cover by the Swedish duo that was popular in Europe. Other songs with the same or similar titles Thin Lizzy: Released a song titled "Dancing in the Moonlight (It's Caught Me in Its Spotlight)" in 1977. Scooter: Released a song with the title in 1997. Men Without Hats: Included a song titled "Dancing in the Moonlight" on their 2003 album, No Hats Beyond This Point.
Other songs with the same or similar title Thin Lizzy (1977): An entirely different song titled "Dancing in the Moonlight (It's Caught Me in Its Spotlight)" was released by the Irish rock band. Coloured Stone (1978): This Aboriginal Australian band also recorded a song with this title. Men Without Hats (2003): This band included a song titled "Dancing in the Moonlight" on their album No Hats Beyond This Point. Scooter (1997): The German dance group released a song by this name on their album Age of Love. Paul Zaza and Carl Zittrer (1980): A song titled "Dancing in the Moonlight" was featured in the movie Prom Night.
Its a common angle thats been done a lot

What's the point, Rob? If this $hit is all I get...
Tony, your song has nothing to do with those other examples. Those names you use (JoAnna Lyn, Billy and Sue) are typical for the country or country-rock genre, not pop. Your title is similar, but different. Honestly, just a few weeks ago I wrote a song called „Beneath The Moonlight“. People should be able to write completely different songs that have similar titles. I have a bunch of songs that are loaded with generic cliches. Who cares. Look at the top 40. Many of those songs are full of cliches. You shouldn't take what people say here too personal. I think your lyric is worth recording and would love to hear what you come up with. But that's up to you man.
The narcissistic behavior associated with Nazism and its leaders includes: Grandiose self-image: Hitler and other Nazi leaders fostered a cult of personality, projecting an image of superiority and destiny. Lack of empathy: The Nazi ideology was defined by an extreme lack of empathy for others, especially those deemed "racially inferior," which allowed for the systematic persecution and murder of millions. Sense of entitlement: Nazi leadership believed they were entitled to control and expand their territory at the expense of others. Manipulation and exploitation: The regime used manipulation and intimidation to gain control and exploit others for its own goals. Blaming others: Like malignant narcissists, Nazi leaders projected their failures outward, blaming others for the problems of society

I’ve read your lyrics, and I find them absolutely disgusting. They’re offensive, mean-spirited, and clearly intended to insult other people on this forum. I want nothing to do with that kind of material. I don’t write or support songs that target or demean anyone, and I won’t be associated with content that spreads hate. Don’t ask me to put music to something like this again. Sadly, you and some of the others here just keep going on and on — but fortunately, with one click, all your posts disappear. Tony, you're a good songwriter. You shouldn't waste your time on stuff like this.
At a glance, Tony is some twisted shut-in who apparently gets drunk and goes over the edge while still able to type. A knuckle-dragger. He is a disgrace to the Christianity that he proselytizes and this site is a disgrace for letting him happen here.
He is the poster child for why you don't let nut jobs rant about religion and politics unless your site/organization exists exclusively for that purpose. This site parades as a songwriting site, but Tony determines what actually goes on here.

You are getting your shots in. Are you proud of yourself? Have you scored a victory for God?
Just as disgusting as you is Brian Whitney who makes this wretched expose in mental illness available to you and the public.

The 30yrs of [naughty word removed] is you. I have no illusions whatsoever that your mind can be changed or that you possess any actual morality. You wouldn't be attacking Ben if you did. Imo you are pathologically deranged.
The most disgusting thing to me is that you all allowed to act-out here. That imo, seems to be yet another pathology.

Deflection?
Anyone who would relentlessly attack the person who wrote that is not a true Christian and is not even moral at all. They are just a twisted freak.
What is being allowed to play out on this website is an argument between someone who admits their mental illness and an antagonist who mistakes their mental illness for a badge of honor.
This songwriting website has now been warped beyond even the most cynical expectations.

I still believe that you, Dom, and probably Elvis, are all the same a$$hole! THAT'S WHAT'S REALLY WRONG WITH THIS SITE!
Where is that ignore button Rob , I can't seem to find it .
You go into a thread and click on the person's name that you want to ignore and then you select "View profile". In that's person's profile you have various options: "Private Message", "Add Friend", "Follow User" or "Ignore User". When you click on ignore user you won't see that person's posts and they won't see yours either.
