A very good friend of ours just suffered a cardiac arrest. She was resuscitated, but has been in a coma for days now. We are very, very sad. Here is "Hope Dies Last." Hope Dies Lasthttps://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=15096865[Verse] A friend so dear, like family she was She gave her all, expected no applause She always put others before her own Carried burdens she never showed [Chorus] Hope dies last, it lingers in the air In the love she gave, in the lives that care Through the silence, through shadows cast We hold her close, 'cause hope dies last [Verse] Her heart was open, though the world was cold A gentle soul, yet endlessly bold She stood by us through joy and strife And forgot herself along the way of life [Chorus] Hope dies last, it lingers in the air In the love she gave, in the lives that care Through the silence, through shadows cast We hold her close, 'cause hope dies last [Bridge] If she dreams now, may the skies be kind May she find the peace she sought to find And if she wakes, we'll be here, steadfast Holding her hand, 'cause hope dies last [Final chorus] Hope dies last, it lingers in the air In the love she gave, in the lives that care Through the silence, through shadows cast We hold her close, 'cause hope dies last [Soft outro] We hold her close, 'cause hope dies last

Ditto Ben. Beautiful and very appropriate to the circumstance. Marty

I think I have to re-do this one and change the title to "Hope Died Last". Our close friend didn't make it.
Take care - Robert

Hi Rob A sad story and even more so with it being through a recent personal loss. Nice choice of vocal the style was inevitable. Sorry for your loss John

Thank you John. I love to write songs when I'm emotionally stressed and can't sleep at night. Often, songwriting helps.

"The standard by which I now measure the things in my life is the following: If I was on my death bed, or if I knew I had a short time to live, would this issue be important? If the answer is no.. I don't sweat it at all. If the answer is Yes, you better believe it goes to the front of the order of today's business!" -Brian Austin Whitney
