The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts Cultural Center Find us in downtown Eugene at Broadway & High. www.theshedd.orgThe Shedd Institute presents Lynnea Barry in FOREVER YOUNG: DYLAN, THE BAND & AMERICAN ROOTS ROCK Friday & Sunday April 18 & 20 2025 at Jaqua Concert Hall in Eugene and Saturday April 19 at LaSells Stewart Center in Corvallis . Lynnea Barry and friends explore the rise of what popular music historians label Roots Rock in the late ‘60s at the hands of Bob Dylan and The Band (and its principal songwriter Robbie Robertson) as they interactively and separately, through a series of albums released between 1967 and ‘69, laid down a post-Folk Revival style that diverged significantly from the mainstream pop move into psychedelic rock towards a country-folk-roots aesthetic that hit the hard at the time and remains a rich and compelling complex of genre ever since. The story is intriguing, a bit complicated and burnt, in one way or another, into the memories of more than a few of us: Lynnea and company offer up a set of classics by The Band and Dylan as a reminder. In Eugene, check out The Shedd's popular DINNERS AT SIX before evening and after matinee performances. https://theshedd.org/divp/series.as...0QF_h6_875MaI_aem_gGLAC27HoDECox_60s_6rQ

The Shedd Institute welcomes Elvin Bishop & Charlie Musselwhite back to Jaqua Concert Hall, Saturday May 17th, 2025. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Elvin Bishop has been performing his rollicking brand of front porch blues for over 50 years. Grammy-winner and Blues Music Hall of Fame inductee Charlie Musselwhite is one of music’s most important active blues musicians. Together, they’ll share the stage for a stripped-down journey through rock, blues, and folk. Their show here in 2023 was killer. Great to have them back! Join us for Dinner At Six before the concert!
