I really enjoyed his songs as a teen. Bought all his albums, memorized all the lyrics, bought acoustic guitar because of him. How many albums and songbooks to do you own of his work?

I just had....Sundown...Lightfoot...and Did She Mention My Name....gave my entire collection of all my albums to one of my nephews a few years ago...he has a huge collection so they're in good hands...he's big fan of vinyl....I guess with today's music there are no liner notes...lol

Steve

Thanks! I got the music and chords from a book of Uku songs, that is pitched in keys for easier singing. I noodled w arppegio's for about an hour to get more of the melody. Fun.

This is an example of music from the uku book. Chord changes and melodic movement in Lazy River- good one to learn.

tuning is G C E A

very light nylon sound, record easy, difficult chords are easier to play, and its a good rhythm instrument.

Not Valerie.

It was this group’s highest charting single at number one in the UK and U.S. 2008.

JPF Mystery Tune #140. A scramble.

Name the song, the group, and the songwriter. Hint: this song was released in 2008 and is a cover for a 1969 song by another group.

I don't think it was first released in 2008 by the cover band

Thanks JAPOV. Correction: the cover song was released in 1978. Sorry ‘bout that.

1982 was a ripe year for one hit wonders . I didn't know anything about the letters...

I was coming if age then.

I recall the plimsouls, million miles away which I still love.

Not top 40 so I'll keep it simple... Band/Song title

LRFR

You've probably heard this one in movies/TV around '85 or so wink
