Lol... I wish someone would tell me which Bowie song I should cover
I read the lyric and it's interesting and vague in a good way, the Dylan way. The music creates a nice bed for sure, and your vocals are in the pocket enough.
And yet all the parts aren't adding up to a satisfying experience for me. To me, it drags. Maybe consider adding more guitar fills in between the vocal parts, like Carlos Alomar on Bowie albums. And maybe the tempo could be a tad faster? Just spitballin'...
What Bowie song to cover?
"Loving the Alien" might be interesting for you. as it's lyrically your style, vocally as well, and is Bowie waxing on about religious war, but vague enough that you can't pinpoint his intention, but the consensus is that it deals with religious problems, terrorists, etc., and how people can justify doing terrible things in the name of religion.
But maybe you should just have fun and cover "Rebel Rebel" cuz it's great guitar licks and vocal hooks.
Carry on,
Mike

Fate doesn't hang on a wrong or right choice Fortune depends on the tone of your voice
-The Divine Comedy (Neil Hannon) from the song "Songs of Love" from the album "Casanova" (1996)
"The Dylan Way", I like that Your right about the song lol... I just opened a MIDI program and punched in some chords, took about an hour. But, I was so tickled with the "plucking" string section, I just had to post it. It will definitely be re-done.
Thanx Mike!
Now, about Bowie... I listened to both of those songs... LOL, I just don't get it. Same "attitude" perhaps... But I do NOT sound like that
There ya go I like it Tell yourself .I 'm a God I'm a genuis , The only thing I regret is not being able to see myself live. Like Kayne West , You can't say he has no confidence. But he did lose a billion dollars in one day on saying things like that , so maybe you should rethink it. He dosen't get along with Taylor Swift to well
