LMAO this thread is still going. I found out the site was back up about a month ago, and it was good for me, i got alot done with my music and with my life.

But the more things change, the more they stay the same.. why aint i seeing more songs?

Anyway, While scientists may not be able to pinpoint exactly how it happened, we in fact DID evolve. EVERYTHING evolves. At one time the earth was covered with ONE CELL ORAGANISMS, Amoebas, some of them were great songwriters.

But ever wonder why all animals have arms and legs, and kidneys and livers and eyes, and noses, and ways to breathe?. If man was so unique, nothing would be similar to us even in appearance, some Gorillas are better looking than some people. The fact we can test medicines on animals... "this drug improved cardiac function in pigs" then we try it on humans and it works. HOW? means were not that special, at least physically.

Now, that does not exclude God, i dont, and wont. They say he works in natural ways, there is no more natural way than evolution. And it seems to be somewhat intelligent, mythical, spiritual in some senses.

The corona virus has changed to new variants nearly every week. Whether u believe its a threat, or as wide spread as proclaimed, thats one thing, but one thing remains clear. This virus mutates, and changes rapidly, and how does it do it? By the laws of evolution.

if a tiny cell of genetic information (virus) can mutate so drastically and quickly, just imagine all the cells of every animal that ever walked the earth, or failed to walk the earth. And complex creatures like human beings, we are essentially the same as any other animal on earth, only smarter. Most of us.

The one thing Humans have that no other animal has is the ability to know that we know things. We know we are aware, we know we are conscious, we can say, hey i just woke up, and i have to figure out what im gonna eat for breakfast. we have the ability to ask questions, and wonder, and ask for proof, no other animal has this ability, and no other animal believes in a God, or even know they are going to die one day. Only us humans get to suffer and enjoy that.

But we shouldn't be taking shots at science and trying to disprove them simply cause we want to believe another story.

Dinosaurs were not wiped about by a tidal wave, they were locally destroyed by the power of the asteroid, and globally because the pollution caused by the explosion, filled the sky and blocked the sun from fostering life. Nothing to eat. Weight Watchers should take heed.

Only the tiniest creatures were able to burrow underground and survive. And the little birds we see flying around today are descendants of dinosaurs, their small size allowed them to survive. Bigger creatures died off... evolution is about what can adapt and what cant.

If it weren't for fire mind you WE wouldnt be here. We would have never survived the ice ages.

https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/last-day-dinosaurs-reign-captured-stunning-detail

Watch the sources will be attacked, but where the other supported sources?

Anyway, hi to everybody, to those i like, and even those i dont. my hope was music would be made. sighhhhh

Have fun!

Naw Tony. I'm not sure if FD was ever here for anything other than expressing his views.

When I posted, I calculated the chance as slim that he would respond by sharing his music here.

The United States has been going through a particularly difficult time. Some of the problems were out of our control. But some were brought on by bad choices made by elected officials. Elected officials — that means people we had a hand in choosing. And make no mistake, if you did not vote, you also had a hand in choosing them. Staying home is also a choice — a devastating one.

We all complain when we think the government makes a mistake. But during election season, we can do more than complain. We can act on behalf of our country. We can make a direct difference for our lives and the lives of our children.

For the Christian, voting is more than privilege. It is a responsibility before God. Churches often talk about stewardship as it relates to money. And they should. That’s an important part of stewardship. But the fact is, we are to be stewards over all the gifts God has given us — including the right to vote. God gave us this precious gift and now we can either throw it in the trash or use it for the good of all.

America stands at a crossroads. Every election becomes more crucial than the last. The dangers grow and the stakes get higher. If you have not voted yet, I urge you to do so. In America, we have no king. We are not ruled by a bloodline. Instead, we are ruled by the choices made during elections. We choose our nation’s direction. That makes the right to vote an enormous responsibility.

If you care about America’s falling morals, its schools, borders, national security, health care, taxes, abortion laws, physical environment, or the regulatory environment… you need to vote. If you think voting is too much trouble, remember those who gave their lives to secure and preserve that right. From Valley Forge to Afghanistan, some Americans paid the ultimate price for our right to vote. It is a priceless gift that should not be taken lightly. In fact, if you take it lightly, it could soon be taken away.

Nobody’s asking you to give your life — just some time. Is it really so important? A few years ago, Venezuela was one of the most prosperous nations on earth. They were poised for even greater prosperity. Today, they are a trainwreck. A couple of years ago they had an inflation rate of at least 100,000%. Think about what that does to family savings or to retirement plans. It wipes them out almost instantly. It destroys lives and livelihoods.

What happened to Venezuela? Some people didn’t vote, and many of those who did, allowed themselves to be swayed by selfish desires instead moral imperatives and love of country.

Rights to free speech are under attack. Rights to freedom of religion are under attack. Rights to assemble are under attack. Vote? Of course we must vote! We must vote prayerfully and thoughtfully, as caring citizens. Your children are worth the trouble. Children yet unborn are worth the trouble.

It would be hard to overstate the importance of our national choices during this election. So, please, for the sake of God and country, for your own sake and that of your loved ones… vote.

For a long time, I have warned that the United States is not mentioned in the end-times biblical scenario. That means this nation’s power and prestige will fall into a dramatic decline at some point as it gets closer to the tribulation. Does that mean the followers of Christ should give up, hunker down in saferooms while quietly awaiting the rapture? No. There remains a great deal to pray for, hope for, and work toward.

But before we talk about hope, we need to understand the situation. This nation stands in grave danger. Time and again our leaders make bad decisions, then — surprise! — wrong decisions bring about unwanted results.

Look at the economy. Our economy staggers under the burden of government overspending. What do our leaders do about it? They spend more. It is as if they are on a ship sinking by the bow. They discover that there is a hole in the bow. The problem should be obvious. There is a hole. Therefore, repair the hole. Otherwise, the ship will sink entirely.

But this ship is run by elected officials. With the boat strongly tilted toward the bow, the electorate — the ship’s passengers — begin to complain. The tilting deck hinders their comfort. The ship’s leaders want to be reelected, so they go into action — not repairing the breach — but trying to level the slanted deck. The best way to level up the deck would be to repair the hole and bail out the water. But they prefer something easier.

Someone says, “Let’s knock a hole in the stern of the ship so that the water will come from both sides evenly. The deck will become level, and the passengers will be happy.” The others cheer. They see this as a stupendous idea. After all, it’s much easier to create another hole than it is to repair the one they have. So, they knock a hole in the stern to balance out the hole in the bow.

By fixing the wrong problem, they double the real problem. The ship begins to sink twice as fast, albeit with a slightly more level deck. The ship’s leaders base their reelection campaigns on the fact that the deck is not as tilted as it used to be. They get reelected. Then, both the crew and passengers descend to the ocean floor on a ship with an almost level deck.

The problem with inflation is spending. An increase in spending will not repair that. The problem with immigration is a porous border. Further opening the border will not fix it. Fake news will not be solved by more lies. Drug abuse will not be solved by more legalization of dangerous drugs. Crime will not be solved by letting criminals off the hook. And, if anyone is crazy enough to want World War III, I can tell you the best way to achieve that goal — appease those who threaten World War III. Weakness draws aggression like sugar draws flies.

A moral freefall underlies all these problems. Breaking down even more of our moral foundation will only make matters worse. Yet, that’s what our society continues to do.

As always, we find our hope in the grace of Jesus Christ. The United States can have another Great Awakening. Millions can still turn to Jesus. I believe that would hold off America’s fall until after the rapture. Better yet, all those millions get to go to heaven! So, don’t give up on the United States. Don’t stop hoping, and don’t stop praying. Work to make things better. Have faith that as you do His will, God is always on your side.

Well Tony

The chicken-little factor was a fairly low percentage of the overall text here. And there were some realistic points made.
One thing that I strongly disagree with is that drawing a line-in-the-sand for Putin with regards to Ukraine is something that we must do to avoid WW3.

As previously stated, I dont think that Poot'n is gonna to take Ukraine. Too hard to do. Too long and drawn out. He's gonna keep the east and call it a win.

Two posts in a row that were not completely saturated with the-end-is-nigh...we all gonna die. wink

One of the problems with idolatry is that it does not sit still. It grows. Satan always wants more. Eventually, he even demands the children. Deuteronomy 12:31 explains where idol worship leads. “They burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.” Do you get what that’s saying? Those ancient idol-worshipers burned their own babies alive!

God’s command is firm. In Leviticus 18:21, He said, “You shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech.”

In this enlightened 21st century, we would never do anything like that, right? Wrong. We kill kids, too. The difference is that we do it while they are still in the womb.

Until recently, anti-abortion sentiments had been growing in the United States. That may be because improved ultrasounds allow us to look into the faces of the unborn. But in the aftermath of the Supreme Court striking down Roe versus Wade, the tide turned. Marchers, politicians, celebrities, and reporters yelled to women, “They’re taking away your constitutional rights!” And that’s what many of them believed.

I despise it when government encroaches on rights — mine or those of someone else. But abortion was never a constitutional right. The Tenth Amendment to the US Constitution specifically forbids the federal government from taking over areas of law not given to it by the Constitution. And the Constitution does not give the federal government rule over matters such as abortion. It’s one of the many areas that the Constitution leaves up to the states.

But that’s just a legal argument. The abortion issue is more than that. It is moral. It boils down to three questions. Is the fetus alive? Is it a part of the mother like her thumb or her foot? What species is the child?

The unborn child is dependent on the mother, but he or she is not an appendage. The mother’s thumb has the same DNA she has. The unborn is a unique life. His or her DNA is different from the mother’s. If the unborn child were just another part of the mother, then she would have two heads, two hearts, four kidneys, and twenty toes. The unborn is a unique person. The other two answers are even simpler. The unborn baby is alive — and its species is human.

Therefore, abortion kills a unique human being.

If you have ever had an abortion, please don’t feel condemned. If you have turned to Christ, He has completely forgiven you. If you have not, then ask Him and He will forgive. According to Jesus in John 8:36, the person Jesus makes free, is “free indeed.”

Christians and others in the pro-life movement must remember that the answer to abortion is not violence or rage. It is loving persuasion. Listen to what the other side has to say, then present your side with kindness. Be civil. But do not hide from this issue. Tell the truth.

Christians should exhibit the fruit of the Spirit as we attempt to persuade. Galatians 5:22-23 says, “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”

That's my point Lol... I don't believe a damn thing coming from predominantly liberal cities or the White House anymore... This mid-term election was just a repeat of the last primary, as evidenced by the fact that they are still "counting".

Figures lie and liars figure...

I will never accept that there is a majority of "AMERICANS" anywhere who actually back Bernie O'Biden and the Squad! My America is not that stupid...

On a side note...
2 days before the election, I received a text from an organization in Massachusetts called the "MA VOTER TABLE" reminding me to get my mail-in ballot post marked on time... I haven't been to Boston in 35yrs, and it has never been a permanent address. People were still wearing "beepers" the last time I was in Boston. So, I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THE HELL THEY GOT MY NUMBER!

Don't even TRY to tell me that there's not any BULL$HIT going on!

That's not to mention all the crap that I still receive from Atlanta and California...

My America is not that stupid...

I'm not sure about" your "America but the United States of America is very smart. They're fine with the count continuing just like previous elections over the decades. How did the squad do this time around?

I think the saints stubbed their toes on the horseshoe good ole Joe had neatly tucked up his butt. LOL

Now if DJT lives in" your" America there's a really good chance "your" America is way more stupid than even you know... hell he doesn't even know what year it is.

"Orange man Bad..." blah blah blah...

Trump is not a socialist democrat, or a "green" air-tax globalist. He's also big on American energy independence. He's got my vote on those merits alone!

That's not to mention, we wouldn't even be having any stupid conversations about Russia or China if he was still in office...

Thanks Tony.
I didn't think that anyone was going to come along immediately and make a case-in-point for me. wink
Very illuminating.

You are talking about the US as if it possessed cultural cohesion. Without cultural cohesion, things dont fix. The slide can be slowed sometimes. It glosses over for a while as the result of wars where there is an imminent threat to all...but it doesn't really ever go into reverse successfully.
When a room of ten citizens each talk about "my people" and none of them mean everyone in the room...but some faction that represents their personal attributes...the outlook is gloomy.

It has not come down to a meeting of minds. It is now a matter of who prevails on what issue(s) and in what manner.

Sorry Marty, but I still believe in the wisdom of our forefathers. They wrote this nation's declaration of independence, constitution, and bill of rights to unite people against slavery, and the very same tyranny we are threatened by today. Just because that struggle never ends doesn't mean there's no value in the fight. smile

I have no problem with DJT other than the fact he is a well known evil, lying, Narcissistic, wife beating adulterer who cares only about himself/money...he is so stupid he can't count to 4 without spotting him the 2 and 3. He does know the number 6 because that's how many times he went bankrupt. His claim to fame is conning people and never paying his bills until sued. If need be he will throw anybody under the bus to protect himself and that includes his wife and kids...
other than that he's a pretty nice guy...if you want to contract leprosy.

I believe in the forefathers too Tony. They were incredible. Given the time during which they were alive, the governmental framework that they created and the fact that they had to win and unwinnable revolution to enact it....they were astounding people. Their impact upon was mankind was profound.

But times change, now we live in a culturally fragmented mess and there are great numbers of people who not only do not revere the founding fathers but want them erased from memory and castigated and dismissed as cruel predators. Many were elected and re-elected in the mid-terms.

Believe what you will Tony, but buckle up just for the helluvit.

DJT was never a politician so you can't make that comparison. I'm not mud slinging. I'm just pointing out some things about the person you support. I've followed this guy for over 30 years...(but never watched an episode of the Apprentice) and this is who he is. Somewhat like our friend Hal, they are both con artists. The vast majority of US citizens have finally figured out DJT and maybe some day I hope you will as well. There are some excellent people in the Republican party, DJT doesn't happen to be one of them and I do know quite a bit about US politics. I've studied it for more than 60 years from my perch in Canada.

I would call my self a left leaning centrist, law and order kinda guy and have no problem with either party, here in Canada (primarily the Liberals and Conservatives). I even thought Nixon was very good until he went off the rails.

I have a buddy in NYC who I spoke to in 2015 when DJT started his run and I said at the time things were going to be rough if he gets in. I talked to him recently and he's as conservative as you can get and he said, Steve, you were right.

I don't have a strong positive on Biden and have no time for Bernie, but Biden outmanoeuvred the Repubs in the election quite nicely thank you. And it was a fair election. He may be an old senile grandfather but all he does is win...and as Stevie Nicks says....and nothing else matters

Well, I'll quote Morpheus... "There's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path" lol.

I can't even imagine what life must be like under Trudeau... but I do know that humans are remarkably adaptive when they need to be.

Perhaps that's the problem between us Steve... I have no clue what you consider to be an acceptable norm. Just like I had no clue how truly oppressive Muslim society was until I saw it for myself. They sure seemed to be happy though...

I have lived in this great country for 75 years under 13 different prime ministers and I can say without hesitation there was never IMO any difference living under one party in power and another...we are a left of centre country...except for Alberta and Saskatchewan...we don't have the type of checks and balances you have through your legislative/executive/judicial structure but Canadians have no problem with minority governments (we've had a few)which force opposing political philosophies to work with each other for the good of the people...we will however brutally reject corruption and those who step too far away from the centre (left or right). Of all the prime ministers, the only one I couldn't fathom was Harper...he was just a mean s.o.b. ..I guess what I am saying is there is not the same vitriol in our politics IMO...I think the referendums on Quebec leaving Canada forced us to deal with the potential destruction of our country and in many respects, that was a good thing because it forced us to pay attention to what it actually meant to be a country.

I didn't read the whole branch, just a few posts... but, following the tittle: "Prophecy anyone",
I'd propose to see the Hollywood movies with attention to their details...

also don't forget to see all the cover pages of The Economist magazine.

So, the movies: I won't repeat that, just watch my thread:
https://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbth...see-the-ties-between-it.html#Post1181971

Many times Hollywood movies made some prophecies about events to come, including 9.11.2001...or about war in Ukraine...also the Simpsons series do it CONSTANTLY...

As for magazine, it's difficult to find something matching directly to its pictures...but some try, and you can do it, maybe...

Sometime in the late 1970s, Chuck Smith had a conversation with some Israeli generals. As I know from my own experience, many of them were and are quite curious about Bible prophecy and Israel’s role in it. They asked Chuck about Israel’s end-time enemies. Basing his answer on Ezekiel 38, he told them to watch out for Iran. They laughed. Iran? That was the one nation in the whole region that usually sided with them. Iran was their only friend in the area.

Not long after that exchange, the Iranian Revolution occurred. Shiite Muslim extremists deposed Shah Reza Pahlavi. From that point forward, Iran became Israel’s most dangerous Middle Eastern enemy.

Today, Iran has one of the most powerful armies on earth. They have, or soon will have, nuclear weapons. They have an arsenal of ballistic missiles with which to deliver nukes as well as conventional ordinance. Iran projects its military power across the region. They have mobilized fellow Shia Muslims in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and elsewhere. They are the number one state sponsor of terror in the world. Despite western sanctions against them, they have lots of money with which they are feverishly improving their military and generally wreaking havoc.

What is their purpose? Most nations want to survive and prosper. But Iran is the spearhead of a religion. They want Shia Islam to become — not just the world’s dominant religion — but the world’s law and government. They have begun their quest in the Middle East, but their ambitions do not end there. They persuade with handouts and propaganda where they can, but they also believe in religious conversion by brute force.

The primary obstacles to their goals can be discerned by listening to their two favorite chants — “death to the United States” and “death to Israel.” Israel blocks their power in the region and the United States blocks their global ambitions. For that reason, Iranian leaders have become obsessed with Israel and the US. But, as a rule, that obsession does not extend to the Iranian people. Like most people, they just want to survive and prosper — and for their children and grandchildren to do the same.

Since the revolution back in 1979, Iran’s clerical leaders have become less and less popular with the Iranian people. Imagine living under a regime with little or no regard for human rights, or for the safety, comfort, and prosperity of its citizens. (Sadly, you might not have to use much imagination since that is becoming more common across the globe.) Those Iranians old enough to remember the Shah of Iran, know that he could be ruthless, but he was a thousand percent better than the present regime.

For some time, we have known Russia was using Iranian drones against Ukraine. They have recently been used in Russia’s vicious attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, destroying access to things like water and electricity. For a long time, Iranian officials called such reports “unfounded and unsubstantiated.” They called it “disinformation” from the West. This month, however, Iran finally admitted to supplying a “limited number of drones” to the Russian war effort.

Limited number? Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukrainian forces “shoot down at least 10 Iranian drones every day.”

Chuck Smith was right, and so were the rest of us who believed the Bible. Iran is a primary threat to Israel. The Bible also makes clear that Iran’s obsession with Israel will eventually be Iran’s undoing.

The Bible was right about something else, too. For centuries, Russia and Iran (or Persia) were mortal enemies. Today they are friends, growing closer every day. The Bible said this would happen in the last days, and it is happening now.

QUESTIONS
Who is Chuck Smith?
Why was he talking to Israeli generals?
What evidence is there that this conversation is not fiction? (requires unquestioning acceptance)

Regarding Iran's army....
Remember when Sadam had the 4th largest army in the world. $hit hits fan. Done in 5 days.
And they have very little Navy and Air Force.
After US, Russia, China, there is a long gap to #4.

Tony,
If you are going to create concern in people's minds...you need real facts.

Love,
Marty

This is Chuck Smith in Israel...

I'm glad Netanyahu has been re-elected...

You may find this interesting... "5:06"

I tried to find a video from years ago of Hal interviewing Netanyahu but no luck...

Marty, the one nation on this planet most in tune with Biblical prophecy is Israel... lol

If that is the case, then why was it necessary for Chuck to educate 2 Israeli generals?

I have it from a very credible source, John Marmaduke Beauregard III, who was there at the same time as Chuck. He emphatically stated that no such conversation ever took place. This version of events as expressed by John Marmaduke Beauregard III was corroborated by Commander Yoazz of the Mossad.
I think that "Q" was there two.

My sources on the matter are indisputable. You and Hal need to reconsider yours.

Netanyahu was on Fox over the weekend, trying to fan up reasons why this Texan needs to be in morbid fear of Iran and set up to take them down. I'm not feeling it. The Iranian theocracy sux. I regard them as an enemy to the US and a regressive government that wont let the middle ages go.

But I'm less afraid of the trouble that they might jamb me into, than the trouble that you and Netanyahu might get me in.

Oh, now you've stepped in it!
I've known JMB III and Bibi since MY Mossad days, and the three of us are going for BBQ and Beer after new years!
