Hi Folks, I hope some of you took a look at the 26 minute science lesson I posted yesterday, it's worth the time. Following that, let's change course to a wonderful 26 minute Sci Fi film (light on Sci Fi, big on emotion) called "Beautiful Dreamer" which I think you will enjoy. I guess I am looking for some meaningful distractions in the world we are stuck in at the moment. So food for the brain yesterday and food for the heart today. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVCNh6_YpI8Please let me know what you think of this film. It really struck me. Brian

Hi Brian:
Thanks for sharing. Perhaps it would "play better" somewhere like a full movie screen with surround sound. My laptop failed to deliver the "effects" intended... but I got the "drift" and it took me away from my comfort zone and I stopped watching after nearly seven minutes. Maybe I'll find time to come back later when fewer distractions are going on around me... and in my feeble brain, LOL!
We have so many distractions as a society today I'm amazed at the possibility our young folks are able to really learn anything of lasting value. Go just about anywhere and in malls, restaurants or city sidewalks, just about everyone has an electronic device in front of their eyes or in their ear. Is there no room to enjoy our fellow humans, our environment, things or sounds of beauty or bewilderment? Maybe it is only me? I come from an era where the Radio was our primary means of gathering information or music. Maybe it was not such a bad thing. Too many choices (information overload) seems like a road to nowhere to me.
Don't get me wrong... I have no desire to "rain on anyone's parade" here. I suppose I'm a "victim of conformity!" LOL!
Regards, my friend, ----Dave

I watch ALL my videos on my giant projection wall screen. (It's dirt cheap to do, $500 dollars and a big blank wall is all you need). So I see this stuff about 9 feet tall and about 15 feet wide, give or take. It's a short film about choosing between living your final 2 years with your young child, or an alternative that will allow you to briefly see her grow up. It moved my wife to tears and it stuck with me for a long time afterwards. The Sci-Fi aspect is as minimal as possible. Thanks for giving it a try Dave.
