Have ya ever wondered what a Scotsman wears under his clicker? John? You started it...I'm gonna try to put this question to rest, because the answer is..."I see you've won first prize".. ...Not unlike Rosewood Creek.... ...Gonna post the best link ever, regarding "The Scotsman" ..:-)...And then follow up... Here come da link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoUV5d09JZwHere comes my personal story: There are tons of "links" to this song...Including one by The Irish(The Unicorn) Rovers"...... But the link I posted is, in my humble opinion, the only "proper" link to click on... Interject personal history here... Back around 1993...Detroit...I was working on a crew that had a weekend...One single weekend!...to rebuild an entire office space...Construction workers of every trade sweating and bitching at each other, trying to get their work done on deadline... One crew brought in a boom-box radio and blasted their radio station for everyone to hear, whether we liked it or not... ...Annoying, yes, but no one wanted to argue with the "Hard Rockers"...And so we kept on working while being subjected to Aerosmith, etc... However, unknown to all of us on that Friday, the "Hard Rock" station had been bought out, and on Monday, they were gonna go to "Contemporary" on Monday, and all the "hard rock DJs were gonna be out of work.... And what did those soon to be unemployed hard rock DJs choose to do????? Did they play Black Sabbath? Did they play Zeppelin? Did they play..."Fill in the blank here"? Nope... They chose to play this version of this song for 64 straight hours... They locked the doors... They may have partied... There's probably a song or movie script that should have been written...But some things only need to be "immortalized" in the memory of those who were there... It was a magical musical-anti-corporate-moment... The "work" crews consisted of every nationality imaginable. Some were over-paid. Some were under-paid... Regardless of that... The renovation got done by Monday morning... "Ring ding diddle iddle ay dee oh"...Got us through... ...Just sayin'...:-) Thanks, John, for bringing that memory back. Thanks, Colin, for giving John a chance to give me a flashback to a really weird weekend....And.... P.S....Thank you, "Big Jim", for all the many times you had to sing this song to various bars along your travels through Europe, because you are, after all, a Scotsman.... Midnite
