As far as downloading songs and movies and stuff, in my country it is not illegal so criminality is irrelevant. They could be sued but the most they can be sued for is 5000 dollars and it can only happen once.

Well if you're cheating you're obviously not happy with your relationship and people don't stay in marriages through thick and thin and whatever reason like they did in the 40s and 50s and beyond that. I don't think it is a good idea to stay with a person who disrespects you. Divorce is definitely a good thing. I'd rather people get it right the first time but life just isn't like that.
many people who have won the lottery, dread the day they did, because it destroyed their families and friendships. In fact, I know a guy who won TWICE. I knew his kids cause i went to grammar school with them.
He won, married a big boobed bimbo, and left his wife and kids to live their own lives without him.
Now, you can say, he was always a bastard, and this just gave him the chance to be a bastard. And id tend to agree, yet, had he never won, he'd probably be with his wife and the family still together.
Alot of times we accept our lives and who we are with, i dont know many people who are MADLY in love.

Again, you are equating unhappy, with happy enough.
Obviously unhappy is one thing, happy enough pays the bills. And for most people in life happy enough is what we shoot for
I guess if people want to "settle" that's up to them. I am going on 30. No kids and never been married. I'm definitely not gonna settle for just anyone. It must be awful to feel stuck in an unhappy relationship especially when kids and a lot of time are involved.
I hardly know where to start. If people don't believe in heaven and hell or God and the devil, then there is little I can say that they will believe. The bible is our instruction book from God on how we should live our lives. God loves us, we are His creation and He wants us to live our lives to be happy and healthy and holy. But He gave us free will, He does not force us to love Him and follow His teachings. But sin can not enter into heaven, we are all sinners to some degree, we are born into sin, Adam and Eve committed the first sin, we are descendant from Adam, so we carry the sin nature of Adam. God loved us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus, who was born sin free, to die as a sacrifice for our sin, so we can enter into heaven sin free. God does not force us to accept Jesus sacrifice for our sin, but if we don't, then we are responsible to pay for our own sin, which is the second death. Christians are born twice and die once, while non-Christians are born once but die twice.
The devil is God's enemy, he hates God and everything God stands for, we are created in God's image, therefore the devil hates us and will do everything in his power to degrade and destroy us.He is the god of this world and has leeway to tempt us to follow him rather than follow God. We have free will to do either. The choice is always up to us, but God wants us to follow Him because He loves us, the devil wants us to follow him because he hates us. If you prefer hate, you will follow the devil, if you prefer love, you will follow God. It's as simple as that.
The bible says the world will get worst and worst and then the end will come. The end is drawing nearer every day as we see every day on the news what is happening in the world.
Evil will be good and good will be evil. Took me a while to figure what that meant. But if I use the bible as my guide, what the bible says is sin or evil and the world says it is good, nothing wrong with it, then evil becomes good in the worlds eyes, but if I say it is wrong, I become evil and a bigot for saying it. Example, the bible says in a number of places that homosexuality is wrong, the world is fast saying there is nothing wrong with it, just another life style. If I say it is wrong, I become the evil bigot in the eyes of the world for saying it. So evil( in the eyes of the world) becomes good, and that good(in the eyes of God) is evil.
There is a power of right and wrong and depending on who's side you are on, God's or the devil's, it will seem right to you. Look at ISIS, they believe what they are doing is right trying to rid the world of Christians and Jews, and they believe they are doing god a service, but what god, not the God I know.
We fight not against flesh and blood but against spirits and principalities that we can not see, but our souls are the prize, God wants to save our souls but the devil wants to take our souls to hell with him. The choice is up to us, chose whom you will follow, but for me and my household, we follow the Lord.

Did you know they are finding a lot of things in common with serial killers, child molesters in their genetic make up? There's certain markers and activity going on in different parts of the human brain and they think they'll be able to identify them before they commit crimes. Scary.
I know a lot of people will say that's not true because they don't believe in science but it is true.
As you know the human body is very complex and many things can happen to alter its dynamics.
So is it wrong for God to hold that against the human race? He made us after all. If he did indeed make us, he made us imperfect and fucked up in every way possible. He can't just wash his hands of his "mistakes".
This is why I don't believe a word of it. It makes no logical sense to me.

I really don't get why liberals would put up such a fuss about people, organizations, etc., conducting a boycott. That IS the way the left operates. They mount boycotts and write-in campaigns to get the speaker of a non-PC sentence fired and otherwise smeared and personally destroyed. Maybe if they were to exercise some of that tolerance they only preach, but don't practice...

Now that is scary. Before long children will be getting that scarlet letter branded on their forehead and will have no chance at a good life (or worse). Be careful believing in these government Dr. Frankensteins trying to control society with questionable theories. It's kind of funny listening to an argument about how bad the South was with slavery. While I am totally in agreement that it was a horrendous period in time for the South I do have to remind people that at most only 5% of all African slaves came to the South. The majority went to the Middle East so while it was bad here..... where are all the Black populations in the Middle east(?), what happened to all of them(?). In addition the majority of that 5% came to two states, Mississippi and Alabama. They also came to the US when Slavery was banned by the UK and Caribbean plantation owners bought up huge tracts of land in those states and started plantations in what had been mostly unused land. I might also add that the North was not immune to slavery. There were a goodly amount of slaved brought to 'the new world' by the Dutch settlers who brought German slaves that were spoils of the wars in Europe. Also lets not forget that the first big influx of slaves into the 'new world' were the Irish that Cromwell sold as slaves to Caribbean planters so he could pay off the debt for the invasion of Ireland. Oh, one last item. When those Caribbean plantation owners shipped off their Black slaves up to their Southern plantations they replaced them with Indian and other Asian Indentured servants who remained indentured for life.

And Everett, where in the Bible does it say we are going to Heaven? Seems to me there was only 144 thousand!
If you are going to preach Everett you should get into the Pulpit! And then write Sermons that don't insult your Parishioner's! Good luck!

It seems to be a combination of biological factors mixed with environmental factors.
We already know it runs in families. if one brother is gay there is a 50% chance the other brother will be too.
They have identified some differences in brain structure, and some genetic mutations with testosterone in men.
Logic would hold that if they could be straight, they would be. who would choose to be ridiculed and suffer the embarrassment and the possible bullying and violence, being shunned from families, if they didnt have to.
Now, you dont have to have any sex at all. Many people live every day without having any kind of sex, and you know who you are! it aint as uncommon as we think

No Ray, I am not judging you, only God will judge you, by every word that comes out of our mouths are we judges. While we are still alive we are given a chance to ask for and receive forgiveness. I am doing what the bible says is expected from followers of Jesus. If I see someone who is heading for destruction and I don't warn him, his blood may be required of me, if I warn him and he does not heed, then his destruction is on his own head.
Ray, where in the bible does it say only 144'000 are going too heaven? Only one place does it even mention 144,000, and that is in Revelation, where 12,000 each from the twelve tribes of Israel are sealed in the last days to preach the gospel to a dying world.
Ray, I did see where you insulted God, but even that is not blasphemous, the bible says you can curse God and Jesus and still be forgiven, but you can not be forgiven for cursing the Holy Spirit, and you can not do that unless you know all the goodness of God first, and Ray, some how I don't believe you are there yet. The priest you mentioned becoming a atheist, he just may have committed the unpardonable sin, that is if he actually knew all the goodness of God in the first place. Ray, there are some in the pulpits of the world that are not off God, that too is mentioned in the bible, you should read the bible and you will see all this, that is if you read it with your eyes and heart open to what it says.
I am not writing this judging anyone or trying to be holier than thou, I am trying to do what is expected of me. You and others may judge me and call me a bible thumper if you want, but when I stand before God, as we all must, I don't want to see where I failed God in my duty to warn of destruction ahead. Christians are judged for rewards, not salvation, but sinners are judged for their sins, which were paid for by Jesus, but if people ignore this, they will pay for their own sin.
Aaron. I've heard people joking about meeting all their friends in hell and having a party. Even though the bible talks about hell more than it does about heaven, no one knows exactly what it is like, but it does not sound like a place anyone will enjoy. Hell was created for the devil and his demons, but anyone that follows the devil will join him there. Most people that do not follow Christ will say they do not follow the devil either, but the bible says, he who is not for me is against me. There is no neutral ground, we automatically follow Satan and the ways of this world until we make a decision to follow Jesus. Then we become a friend of God and an enemy of Satan.
The bible is God's instruction book to guide us to heaven, but most of the western world ignores it, even those that say they are Christian don't read it, even though most every house has a bible or two, it is ignored. While the third world countries are crying out for bibles, even though in some countries they could be killed for possessing a bible.

This controvery is giving "Little Big Town" free publicity It's smart to release a song that polarizes opinions. It helps sales. The song that has lovers and haters, but it's not good for radio. Radio doesn't want listeners to change the channel. They want milder reactions to songs listeners don't like.
Kacey Musgraves also gave her two cents on the current controversy facing Little Big Town and their song "Girl Crush" with radio stations pulling it because listeners were complaining that it "promotes a gay agenda."

I was thinking about Stafford's 70's hit "My Girl Bill" in connection with Little Big Town's song.
Stafford was more a 70s pop artist who crossed over to County a little. But I think the main difference is he was marketed as a singer-songwriter of novelty tunes (Wildwood Weed, Spiders and Snakes), so people came to expect that of him. If Little Big Town did mostly novelty tunes, not as many people would be upset, I don't think.
The problem is the songs presentation is misleading, too. It's not telegraphing the punch line by sounding funny, like a Ray Stevens song or anything. People feel baited and switched..punk'd..but..
I think that's what makes it great. It works in a "confrontational art" kind of way. We get to look at our feelings about something close up..examine them (at least upon first listen)..and if doing so makes us uncomfortable, we might just project that back onto the song..hate the song and maybe hate the artist for doing the song. After all, how else could Country Music sneak in a song that seems to support gay relationships? It would have to do it in a way that "takes it all back" by the songs end..cuz..you know..Country just ain't ready for that yet..
It's like sometimes you tell a friend what you really think, and then pause to see his/her reaction, and if he/she's really hurt or upset, you may decide to smile and say "just kidding!" But deep down the friend will know you meant it, cuz it stung, it hit home, and hurt..so there must be some truth to it.
Likewise when you set up a song like "Girl Crush" --it works as a way of safely "testing the waters" of gay relationships in country songs--whether it was intended as such or not. And that's why some folks refuse to see it's a harmless kind of novelty song. They fear it's a trojan horse of some kind..who knows though, really? Maybe to some extent, one's beliefs make it so.
