Signature you here, great sound, and nice guitar tracks. Great vocals as usual, although "the vocal volume" seems a little strong or clipping with the chorus onset in general. Really nice arrangement, percussion drives song nicely too!

yes, I noticed the vocal mix in the chorus being a bit hot when I heard it in the car later after posting, by then it was too late........I'll try to get back to it soon. Thanks for the review.

Michael,
Minimal is one acoustic, one bass, drum samples....that was it. I did 4 acoustic tracks and a 5th acoustic running through some amp modelling, to get the electric sounding stuff. Thanks for the spin.

As always, you sound terrific. Has a 70's sound to me ... can't apply a particular singer ... just the era. But, perhaps that's good. You have your distinctive sound and this is a perfect example of it! Loved the vocal harmony!

Alan and Di, Ahhh, that 70's sound.....I can't seem to escape it. must be because I grew up listening to all that, but I don't listen to much of that anymore (well, once in awhile).......but I guess we can't escape our early musical leanings. Thanks for the spin.

What do you do in the real world.
What made you embark on the song a week. I guess I do at least a song a week....can't seem to stop. I have over 300 songs on my youtube page. Some days I WISH I could stop but it is something that just got me by the balls and won't let go till I write the next song....oh well....it keeps me busy and out of trouble.

Mesmerizing...yah...it's a good word for it. But, you know what it really does, that someone already mentioned? It speaks to people. Do you even know how special that is when your music speaks? Yah...I'm sure you do. That is why this discussion about lyricists
trying to find musicians doesn't work for me.Because your soul cannot be totally immersed in it if you are'nt playing both sides of the coin. Does that make sense to you? Anyway...nice work!

Thank you for the kind review. I think there have been some fine lyricist/composer relationships over the years, used to be how most popular song was done at one time........but writing your own music and lyrics is definitely it's own animal, and does take immersion, I agree.

Great job Mac. You are certainly prolific. Honestly, can't think of anyone as prolific a songwriter who consistently puts out quality stuff. I see you have gotten the 70's feedback, but it is right on imo. It has the feel of all the softer rock bands of the 70's ... Loggins & Messina, Poco, Firefall, Little River Band, etc. Some of my faves.
