Folks, WORKTAPE of this tune with a single pass vocal over a midi track. Sonny is going to be taking this into the studio next week, so would like any feedback I can get. I feel like doing the chorus five times (six, if you count the instrumental break) in less than three minutes is a bit much.
Is it meant to be a bluegrass song, or pop, or what?

My cowriter is the one doing the recording in the studio (we don't live in the same town), but I will pass along the comment. When we wrote this, my cowriter already had the melody and the hook, and he wants to do it as an uptempo bluegrass style song, but I tend to think it will come of more of a faster two step style. The midi track I used for the worktape was all a canned style out of BIAB, and Sonny will be doing the tracks and guitar work on it, and I will have to hear what he ultimately comes up with. Thanks for the comments and listen, and I will pass it along.

Bill Thanks Bill....when we were writing it and singing it, he was doing a lot of harmony and guitar picking, and it seemed to work well. Hopefully it will come off good in the studio....time will tell I guess.
