My partner in A1A (and he fills in the guitar 2 spot with our group sometimes) recently did an appraisal on Trucks house, it's on the other side of town here, the guy has a studio there at their constant disposal that is awesome, and more guitars laying around than he could count. Some awesome music, when he turns on the slide for a break it cuts through so pure...cool music. rock on.

And, by the way, are all of you familiar with those Michael Nesmith records that I was listening to? The first 2 records from Nez and the First National Band really should be right up the alley of a lot of folks here. He was the only real musician in The Monkees and proved it with those FNB records. Really one of the first rock guys, along with The Byrds and Gram Parsons, to do country music right and without a hint of irony. Predates The Eagles and Poco and those guys, even. Recommend checking it out.

I do. A ton. My job allows me to listen to music while I work, so I get to listen to anywhere from 4-6 albums a day, usually. That's also why you probably see a lot of artists that you may not recognize -- I keep digging to find things that will sound fresh and when I hear stuff on the radio all the time, it just doesn't cut it for me. I get sick of it when I hear it so much. For instance, I love The Beatles, but you'll almost never see their albums popping up in my posts in here for that very reason.
And, if something looks interesting to you, ask me. I love to talk about the tunes that I'm listening to!

Cool. I did check out The Exploding hearts, pretty cool.
Most office environments play top 40 radio ALL day.
They played big hits over and over so many times, I can name the job I was at and the year when the song was a hit, cause I worked alot of contract jobs.
every once in a while a song was good enough to withstand it.
I recall "sometimes love aint enough" Don henley and patty smith, was working with spreadsheets and mainframe, lol
I recall, "I dont wanna be" Gavin Mcgraw was working in a hospital.
and few others, when I hear those songs now, I immediately am right back in that place, I can even name mistakes I made during those times, and conversations with others.
Weird how music creates associations.
