But it doesn't matter much anymore...first off, they already gave him more this year than they did in all of his prior election cycle. Second, Hollywood is not likely to suddenly turn conservative just because they're annoyed with Obama. Obama has this one last election to worry about, and he's just as beholden to tech companies and the perception that he backs internet freedoms than he is to protecting intellectual property. So he says, basically, "I'm all in favor of this just so long as it doesn't hinder a free and open internet." Dodd/Valenti is pissed and is basically saying "How dare you, I thought we paid you off!" laugh
