Well i don't know enough about your system to say, but if you have Realtek as your computer sound device, you can adjust it under - speakers, default format.
In Audacity it is under edit, preferences, quality.
I don't know anything about USB microphones.
You should attempt to adjust them so they are all set the same - 44,100, 16 (or 24).
