Petra:
At this point... I'm really not using actual video footage. Instead, I use Microsoft's Windows Video Softare to put together several still photographs or artwork saved as JPEG files. This sofware allows the music to play and I've been told by others that later versions than mine will allow putting lyrics between frames so they show up at strategic points during the playing of the song. This is not an ideal method but my objective is merely to get folks to listen to my song... so they might want to record a cover version. That way, I can get plugged into the income side of things... especially if they "hit a home run!"
I'm only doing the video thing because some websites are video oriented along with music. MT was my first venture and it worked even though I know it would never do well in Sheboygan... LOL! Still shots... unless they can be manipulated somehow to appear to be animated... are usually boring because most folks are used to seeing music videos on MTV, CMT and other sites of that ilk.
I don't even carry a cell phone. Although I love the concept, I hate spending my time answering calls and the texting part of the equation would drive me up the wall... or cause me to have a wreck while driving... LOL! If I go on an extended trip, my wife will loan me her cell phone if she's not travelling with me so I can use it in an emergency or check in every now and then.
Like Big Jim, I am fond of carrying my Creative Labs ZEN MP3 player with me. Chock full of my songs so I can critique myself and figure out how to do the next song better.
G'day, my friend. Hope you have a good one.

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
