I think his advice is pretty straightforward, Kevin, so start just by doing what he suggests. Second, watch the mixing vid's part 101-2-3 here http://www.ustream.tv/user/TAXI_Music/videosSecond and a half, don't worry about mastering, just put a limiter on the master bus. Third, well.. there are books, but do you really read?
