Wow, such a sad song! You sang it hauntingly beautifully though. I am always so mesmerized by your voice!  Thanks for listening, Polly. I was trying to be kind of quiet and low key on the vocal. A "let the words do the talking" kind of performance, I guess. I played/sang this for my husband recently and he congratulated me for having mastered "the bummer" in my songwriting. I don't know why I always seem to write about stuff like this. I need to try and force myself to write something more upbeat and less heavy/moral.
