Thanks Al ....Yes some songs are just a bit of fun, a chance to dance or let your hair down and have a giggle.
Spike Jones, Stan Freberg and more recently Weird Al (no relation?) all made a great living from such songs. There will always be a place for frivolity. On a serious note generally I think these type of songs are harder to write and pull off than the traditional ballads and pop songs.
