Well in our mariachi group my youngest sister is a guitarist, and my other sis used to be the guitarron player 'till she started playing the violin, my cousin plays the vihuela as well. The group started off mostly girls but after a while me and a few two other ppl joined in. We are still learning,but we are good enough to go out and actually perform for like parties and other occasions. We were taught and still are being taught by ear by my grandpa and with some occasional help from our uncles
