That's really cool, Todd! Hope he stays with it. Springstreen, et al, were all 10 years-old kids plunking around early in their lives. So, you never know!

Neither of my kids (37 and 40) have ever had an interest...not even the slightest hint oif an interest...to learn to play an instrument. Neither can sing better than a wounded buffalo. Sorry kids! They enjoy listening to music on occasion, but are not real big music fans. My son tends to like the earlier, easy stuff...The Eagles, Foreigner, Stix, etc. The two acts that he really enjoys a lot are Michael Buble' and Steve Tyrell.

My daughter is just a casual listener. Whatever is one is okay, unless it's Traditional Country or one of the fringe rock sub-genres (Indusrial, Grunge, etc.) Music is just the marginal soundtrack of their lives...it's often in the background but never takes a major role. They are lukewarm to my music. They have, maybe 4 or 5 of my songs on their MP3 player...that's out of almost 700 songs!

Glad to hear about your son, though.

Alan
