Hey Colin,

My husband and I have what we like to call "art night" every Friday night. He's upstairs doing his artist endeavors and I am downstairs writing songs. I've been able to write songs in that 3 or so hour block of time, finish songs, start songs. I have things swirling around in my head all week and by Friday, they want out. It's not exactly like writing on demand because I'm not that good under pressure but this seems to work for me.

When I was working full time, those few hours were all I had and I made the most of them. Now I have more time but still do my best to keep this date with myself. The point is, if I had a cool place like your park I don't know that I'd write any more or any less, but the fact that you take the time for yourself is valuable beyond measure. I have worked in cubicleville and have become a master of tuning out the world. So for me, it isn't the where that is important but the when, making time to do what I love.

So, wherever or whenever you do it, just DO IT!!!
