Yup... Have had that experience
Being from a cultural back ground where we call "gravy" aka "red sauce" or "marinara" and marrying into a family that takes a perfectly good steak and DEEP FRIES it and covers it in a white saucee, "gravy".....I'd say we have some food issues...
