It is not often I agree with Brian but I agree on this issue.
If you cannot do the time then do not do the crime. I also am shocked that cohorts are given immunity. This is a tradition that needs to be stopped. All of the men involved should be charged, convicted and facing lengthy prison sentences.
I have just read a book called "The Innocent Man" by John Grisham. Worth reading. It is the true story of Ron Williamson a failed baseball player who became an alcoholic and had a mental illness. He was imprisoned for many years for a murder he did not commit. His conviction had no evidence other than a confession which was obtained under extreme duress and threats. Ironically Johnny Cochrane was instrumental in freeing him.
