Hey Kids,

Having seen and enjoyed JM's artwork recently, I felt like doing a little bragging on someone ELSE'S behalf for a change (I KNOW, someone should probably mark this date down in history! grin ).

Anyhoo, both my parents are artists (in fact they met in art school....my mom was my dad's teacher :o !). Needless to say, we had a very unique and interesting childhood. Nothing one would consider "Bohemian"...just that we got to experience a lot of culture (and "characters") at an early age. Plus, we learned the pros and cons of cultivating and pursuing our creative instincts.

I'd be curious, in fact, to hear about the "artistic backgrounds" of the JPF members. The creative blood comes from somewhere...Maybe I'll start a thread on General about that...

Anyway, as an adult, I appreciate them and their talent all the more; not only because I feel they've helped me develop a "trained eye", but also because they're basically "working artists" as well. However, they do have paintings all over the place (in the homes of many celebrities, The Pentagon, the Air & Space Museum, etc.). In fact, my dad is considered an acting colonel in the Air Force, and at one time was the official artist for NASA, documenting all the Space Shuttle Lift-offs. My mom now teaches privately, with the lower level of our home converted into a large studio.

And best of all, I am lucky enough to have a rotating gallery of free and gorgeous artwork in my home!

So, thought you might be interested in seeing some of their work. They are in a number of galleries around the country, but the Shaw Gallery in Naples Florida is where they have the bulk of their work. Following are links to their individual artist pages.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. smile
