Hey Steve,
As an 80's keys player ( is that vintage enough ?) you had to have a Korg M1, a Yamaha DX7, and a Roland Juno/Jupiter. That sort of covered all the bases.
All these are available in VSTi format, and seemed to be being used everywhere. I think the kids refer to them as "ancient" but very retro cool. LOL
