Hi Folks,

So I was getting ready to type up a blog about my seeing a real UFO last night (early Thursday morning since I am on a reverse schedule), where a really bright circular light flew across the sky in a Northeasterly direction and then disappeared when the entire house started to shake again, roughly 29 hours later. The house shook so hard that stuff was falling off my desk and I barely made a saving catch of a crystal souvenir of the Leaning Tower of Pisa that sits on the small TV on my desk. (Sort of appropriate in a way).

I jumped up and went outside thinking "here we go again..." as last night people reported not only seeing the lights, but also feeling a loud boom like a plane crash. All sorts of speculation happened yesterday here in Indiana about what it was.. and folks even posted photos of what they saw, though none of the photos I saw matched what I had seen the night before.

I didn't see anything going on and only heard REALLY loud birds chirping all over the neighborhood.. it was obvious they were stirred up over something. I figured either we'd had an earthquake or aliens were in fact invading. (It really felt like a great opening for a Sci Fi movie actually).

I called Linda (she works as a Pharmacist on the night shift) and she also felt it and they were trying to figure out what had happened. I called 911 to report it and he let me know that the entire city was calling with similar reports. I asked him if it was connected to the UFO lights from the night before.. he didn't seem to appreciate that question and hung up.

I was very surprised that none of our neighbors seemed to have woken up. I walked up and down the street and around our house to see if there was any damage and there wasn't a single light on anywhere around. (I haven't checked the concrete areas in our basement yet).

So of course the news is buzzing with a 5.4 earthquake out of Western Illinois (120 miles due west of Indianapolis) that was felt across all of Indiana and into Ohio.

As they were explaining it, folks were calling in asking if it was connected to the lights from the night before. After initially denying they had anything going on, the Airforce did an about face and said they had in fact had F-16's doing test flights and dropping flares for training... yeah... whatever.

A pretty weird 29 hours in Indiana.
