um.. we were just waiting for you to mention "another one bites the dust"... Tom Tha's a Bass Riff  that's gonna be another thread. OKAY Mike - you got me - but I always call it a bass guitar as opposed to just a bass so that people know I'm not messin' with a fish. So it's still a guitar. Sort of. A mutant thumpy guitar. I guess that's why Chris Squire wrote "The Fish" so you can tell the difference.
