Hi Folks,

So we had a great time in Roanoke. Got to hang with Bill Payne while in town. We had a nice show at Martin's with a dozen artists including 2006 JPF Award winners James Lee Stanley and John Batdorf. After the show we had a hilarious encounter with JoAnn, the singing/dancing 68 year old Waffle House Waitress. (We took a little video.. may post it at some point). We even went for a swim after the show in Bill's pool.

The next day we spent visiting the Roanoke zoo and their famous mountain top Star. Then we drove the Blue Ridge Parkway. We got off of it for gas and just happened to stop in Floyd, VA where they host the Floydfest. Many JPF members were scheduled to perform, though we missed it by a week too early. We did chat with the organizers who have their offices in a Yurt. The place sells Yurt's which is why we stopped and their office was in the demo. Then we had a nice dinner at Tuggles Gap motel and restaraunt and it was excellent (we'd go there again next time on the Parkway). We finished by taking some pictures along the way at the famous Mill.

We're just south of Charlotte right now getting ready to check out and head towards Charleston for a little sight seeing and our showcase on Sunday. Then we have Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Tallahasee, Athens, Atlanta, Birmingham and Nashville to go on this leg of the tour.

Hope you're all well!

Brian
