Hey JD

I had an interesting discussion with a publisher about how radio-ready a demo had to be .... and his answer was surprising !

The key to gaining a recording artists attention with a song , is to present it as a high quality song that the artist can then "see" his talents being capable of easily improving it to a hit level song . In other words sell the sizzle until you make them "commit" to thoughts of doing that -- then hope that commitment stays in his mind long enough to drive him crazy so he will sign .

I know that was just one guys opinion -- but it made sense to me , given the fact there are soooooo many ways to make a demo radio-ready today ..... and soooooo many great songs floating around that aren't getting cut .

Appreciate the compliment about the writing !
