Hey folks,
My husband and I will be relocating to Independence to be closer to family around the begining of March. We were active in the Nashville chapter when we lived there but they didnt meet very often, and to be honest we were not ready for the competition there. Here in East TX there is not much going on unless we drive 3 hours to Dallas. We are hoping to get involved in the KC country music scene, if there is one. Is this JPF chapter active? We would love to get involved and make it a big success. We know of some venues that might be willing to let us meet there or have open mic nights if we can get a group of us together I'm sure. My husband sings and is learning guitar and wants tow rite his own stuff as well. I am more into the business side of things. Our dream is to build a place like the Grizzly Rose or Wildhorse in Independence, a place where we can serve the up and coming folks in the music community.
Would be great to hear from some of you!
