Allan,

Well, here's my Internet sleuthing trail. If this is not you, there is an AMAZING, uncanny phenomenon going on here...

You've removed your personal email since my post, so I won't refer to that. But, the website you listed as yours (available to anyone by clicking on the icon in the bar above your posts for artist info) is http://www.nctc.net./~rubbersoul/1/index.htm.

I went to that site. It has an image for "Beatles 2 Rock" on the opening page. This is your chosen member name here: beatles2rock. So, that's you. The site offers Beatles albums for sale.

There is also a site called www.beatles2rock.com. This site is EXACTLY the same as the one you post as your own above, down to every jot. It also bears your chosen member name. Only the URLs are different.

The page after visitors enter (of either website above) says "Copyright 2004 BMI DNA beatles2rock 1994-2004" at the bottom.

Note the "DNA". What do you propose that means, Allan?

Now visit this URL: http://www.hotbands.com/artistpage.php?id=7757

Up comes a picture of two middle-aged folks and the following text:

Quote
<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">dna4ever--dynamic songwriting duo creating some great tunes! We perform, write, record country/pop/rock and are excited to have you hear our newest cd; please check out some of our mp3's and contact us for any contract music. Support our troops, they rock! Mp3's available at http://www.dna4ever.net, http://www.beatles2rock.com Also contact us to send your HERO an encouraging card and cd to support them while deployed overseas. We send care packages all the time! Contact: dna4ever@nctc.net or dna4ever@charter.net THANKS FOR VISITING DNA4EVER!!!</font>

Note the genres listed -- "country/pop/rock" as cross referenced against those posted in the first post of this thread as "for sale":

Quote
<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2"> ...from country to rock ...</font>

Note also that one of the email addresses listed is on the server "nctc.net" -- the same (obscure) server hosting the website listed here on JPF in your contact information.

This information also mentions someone offering to talk if people want to "contract music" (i.e., "songs for sale") which is the topic of this particular post. Obviously, it also mentions two websites: www.beatles2rock.com and www.dna4ever.net. The first of these is the identical site to the one you post as yours here on JPF. The second is a link to the band DNA4ever. (Recall the DNA at the bottom of your own site).

One hops to www.dna4ever.net. The heading in in the blue bar at the top of the site starts: "Diane and Allan".

Your name is also "Allan" -- a more unusual spelling, to say the least. (Anyone finding this freakish yet?)

At that site, one clicks the SOUNDCLICK: Visit our Page! link and hops over to the SoundClick profile for these folks (Diane and Allan).

From there, Diane and Allan's names and the band name -- DNA4ever (as well as that being their SoundClick ID) -- are confirmed. Their location listed HERE is Grand Island, NE. (This I didn't notice before, but it is listed for artist info along the righthand column on SoundClick.)

Hmmm ... you are also listed (below your username here on JPF) as living in NE (though it says Dannebrog, NE). Curious.

By Googling the name "Allan Hurd" and "Diane", I also came up with THIS site: http://www.ourband.net/new_asp/band_profiles2.asp?ID=118. This is a UK site. It posts the EXACT picture from the HotBands site above with the name DNA and band name DNA4ever -- only here, their location is listed as "Poole in Dorset", UK. Same band description as the SoundClick site, but different location.

Now, call me crazy, but ... I don't think my sleuthing is too shabby.

It is POSSIBLE that, on a technicality, Diane is not your wife, but another relative (sister, sister-in-law, etc.). I did assume by the listings as "Diane & Allan Hurd" that you were married. It is also possible that there is a situation where there is a line of "Allan Hurd"s as Jr.'s. and Sr.'s, making "Diane" your mom. But there does NOT seem to be a possibility that the connection here is purely coincidental.

As to the rest -- again I say, if all of this ISN'T you, then there is someone else living a parallel life RIGHT THERE NEXT DOOR in NE (or UK, who knows).

Baz / Erik
